Default Kosovo Fiasco

I knew this would come around someday. And here it is. Back when Bill Clinton bombed Yugoslavia and took up for the Albanians, I said then that he was picking the wrong side. The side of the terrorists. In order to stop "ethnic cleansing" we helped to run all the Serbs from Kosovo....and did a bit of "reverse ethnic cleansing." Now, the few Serbs that are left in Kosovo fear daily for their lives. And the all mightly UN and Nato are at a loss as to what to do next. Surprise, surprise. Well, I hope they don't expect the U.S. to help them out again. I say......let FRANCE handle it.

"Kosovo Death Toll Rises to 31, NATO Warns Albanians

Mar 18, 6:05 pm ET

By Fredrik Dahl
PRISTINA, Serbia and Montenegro (Reuters) - The death toll from two days of clashes between Kosovo Albanians and Serbs rose to 31 on Thursday as NATO beefed up its forces and vowed to stamp out ethnic violence.

Albanians set fire to Serb churches across the U.N.-governed province, including in the provincial capital, Pristina, where police fired teargas to disperse gangs of youths after nightfall.

Serbia and Montenegro's Defense Minister Boris Tadic said he expected more violence and appealed to NATO to do more to help bring it to an end.

"This is an emergency situation and we need the help of the international community," Tadic told a news conference in Bratislava, where he was attending a European forum."

Default .

Yes indeed, we must turn over Iraq to the UN and NATO. They seem to be doing a bang-up job in Kosovo.

Nah, that was a bash of the democrats. You know, the ones that want to turn over our national security to the whims of the UN.

Default Presently the U.N. is busy....

refining their oil for food program. I hear that some members did quite well with it.

Default The Serbian government and the Kosovo authorities........

should be arresting the culprits of both the Church and Mosque fires. Both of these authorites must arrest the culprits to set the example of responsibility and that they could handle their affairs without outside intervention.

I believe the catalyst of these events could have been handled locally and quickly without it escalating out of control.

Default It was always going to happen

I believe that we must stop trying to solve problems with ethnic solutions. We now have the reverse of the situation we supposedly intended to stop. We are always hearing how Iraq is split into three groups Sunnis, Shia and kurds. Firstly Kurds are thnic not religious some of them are sunni, some are shia some are neither some are not muslims at all. I am led to belive by a christian friend that therev are nearly 2 million christians in Iraq.

What must also be addressed is the gun running and heroin trade coming through Kosovo to the streets of the UK. KLA might have had 'kiberation' in their name but they were and are the same type of gangster that runs most terrorist organisations.

BTW I think you will find that Kosovo is not a UN operation it is a NATO/US adventure.

Default the way i see it

Theres`s a bit difference between the burning of churches in Kosovo and
the Mosque in Belgrade. First of all, the Mosque in Belgrade was set on fire
by a pack of people who would best be described as huligans... reather then
terrorists... I know this for sure since I live in Belgrade, n most of the
people here although very angry right now, are condemning this...
And on the other hand in Kosovo we have a situation where hoards of rageing peoople, some of them with guns, are running around buring
every Serbian church or house they see... probably hundreds of houses
have been thorched down by now... n most of the churches.
Also to be honest this all scenario looks to be well planed by the albanian
extreamests.

But what bugs me the most is the fact that honestly the psihology of people
that are doing all this in Kosovo is not much different from the one of
those blowing up metros in spain or hitting buildings with plains...
They are all very extream muslim terrorists, n the only reason USA n
the EU are tolerateing this so much is the fact that they see this as an
less painfull way of calming down the muslim community.

CNN n BBC keep leaning to the albanian side just enough to keep the
picture of Serbs as the center of the problem.

I`ll give you a quick example. Before the riots n the killings began, CNN
was quick to give the news of Serbs chaseing albanian children with dogs
to their deaths in the river of Ibar. Whitch is ofcourse a terrible thing if true.
The only problem was that the last boy, who told the story in the first place
hasnt mentioned Serbs in any way the first time he told his story, just to
change his statement a few hours later. But this really doesnt matter now.
On the other hand a few months ago when 5 Serbian children got killed
with automatic wepons while swimming in a river, CNN was no where to be
heard...

I`m just saying keep your mind open

And sorry if I spelled somethin wrong, my english spelling could use a bit of work.

So, does this mean you don't engage in Bush-bashing as far as Iraq is concerned?

Default Again....

All these incidents should be investigated on a local level without prejudice. If the local authorities have enough courage to be responsible there would be no need for the EU/US or NATO intervention.

Yes, there are extremist Muslims! and yes some are in the KLA! IF the Kosovo authorities could not handle in investigating and arresting culprits then they have failed in preventing their own demise.

Any revenge action will never have justification this would only be fuel for the never-ending cycle of violence.

Like I said: All culprits whom are extremists on both sides must be arrested and it must be done immediately! I do not care if they are Serb or Albanian they must be arrested and tried for any crimes that have been commited. No one is above the law( The basic human rights ).
