Don't know if the one in the hospital will survive but this is all around sad. It is possible this was not a hate crime, like it is possible Angelina Jolie with take a shower with me in the morning.

Everyone who promotes homophobia or is actively silent in the presence of such hate shares in the responsibility for these hate crimes because your words and actions, or silence and inaction, has legitimized the hate in the people who carry out these attacks.

Their blood is on all of our hands until we can find the courage to stand up against the stirring hate and make it clear homophobia is not justified on any level in any form. Of all groups, Christian organizations are apparently the most vocal anti-American and anti-Christ against gays. Your self righteous glass gravels have shattered lives because you fail to learn anything about Jesus and choose to use his Sacrifice for your own immature social controlling goals. For those Christians who practice homophobia, your hypocrisy and lack of love for Jesus and others are transparent and your soapbox has become an anvil in hell.

What do to you think will happen when you die? Do you think Jesus will give you a pat on the back for castigating gays, people he never once mentioned, while ignoring the seemingly infinite number of people he commanded to love? For you I say, do not utter the name of Christ. Your hate tarnishes his Sacrifice, lessons, and love but most importantly, you turn people off to hearing about Jesus because nobody could believe God is a God of Love when viewing your disgusting words about God's children. God will forgive you as you forgive those around you, as Jesus once said.

For everyone else, these young ladies have paid the ultimate price of our society's collective hate simply because they existed and were living their lives. Sleep well.

OP assumes white, Christian Republicans committed this crime.

I'll guess young black males. Blacks aren't known for their love of gays, despite being the most loyal liberal Democrat voters. They are also 6 times more likely to commit homicide than the entire non-black population in the country combined. Hispanics as a group, as well, dislike gays, thanks to their Machismo culture. The only group overwhelmingly sympathetic to the gay agenda are white liberals.

Dead gays often do more to advance the left's cause than living gays. Immortalized heroes like Matthew Shephard have done more to advance the left's gay agenda than any living homosexual ever could. I wouldn't put it past some radical left-wing group to kill these two lesbos just to press the issue. The ends justify the means to liberals.

In any case, I'm going to doubt your initial assumption that a white conservative Christian Republican committed this crime. We'll just wait and see who is right and who is wrong.

Lots of suspected, alleged and unknowns in that story. Maybe it'd be better to wait until they arrest somebody before making all these assumptions. Such a small town, more likely it's someone who knew both girls and had a beef with 'em.

While of course it is sad they were murdered you have ZERO evidence they were murdered because of their sexual preference.

Sounds like every junk science study pretending homosexuality is genetic.

If it is an unknown gunman how do we know that a) it really was one person acting alone, b) their motivations, c) that it's not a woman?

Edit: A nice thing would be if people said a prayer or sent positive thoughts out for the one clinging to life.

Yep, not to mention overlooking the fact Texas is actually a very gay-friendly state. The sheriff of Dallas County is a hispanic lesbian and she's running for her third term.

I think that has more to do with Dallas County than the whole of Texas.

It's like how Raleigh is a gay-friendly city, but most of NC couldn't exactly be considered that.

It does not say how they came to know that given the shooter is unknown. Granted, it would surprise me 0% if it were a hate crime, but with no evidence other than they were shot and they were gay it is a bit early to conclude that.
