So, in order to address the matter of blacks having been treated differently, we're going to solve it by ... treating blacks differently that other races and groups. Makes perfect sense. I'd think treating them equally would be a good idea, but hey, that's just me.

Those groups weren't oppressed in the USA and not in the same manner so its not appropriate to label this a hate crime just because a homosexual was the victim. Granted homosexuals are victims but they aren't as oppressed and don't deserve that luxury in this incident.

However if it were a straight white male, then yes they should be held to a higher standard and prosecuted for a hate crime if they attacked this homosexual.

Presumably libs plan to achieve a color-blind society by giving black people special treatment not afforded to other races.

Why does it matter that the victim was gay? If it had been 3 gay men beating up a straight man, there would be no mention of a hate crime.

So what is the crime below stony, love taps? There has been very little done about this hate crime, in fact, it wasn't even reported for weeks. Yeah, equal justice for all Americans. None of this should be tolerated, but sadly, certain groups get special treatment.

There was a case several years ago where 2 gay men abducted and gang raped a young straight man, but this was never considered a "heterophobic" hate crime.
