My fellow political junkie friend and I cannot figure out why the man (Obama) that ran a picture perfect campaign in 2008 is doing such a whack job in 2012. A close look at the polls show he is in much worse condition than a cursory glance would indicate. I would bet a months worth of my retirement that the internal campaign polling gurus are saying the same thing.
It's easy to say what you gonna do if your elected. It's not so easy defending the fact you didn't do most of what you promised and what you did do failed miserably. That's a near impossible platform to run a campaign from. Add to that bragging on transparency then hiding behind executive privilege on Fast and Furious, the irony of accusing your opponent of outsourcing jobs while your appointed jobs czar is doing the same. Bragging about your job creation record when more folks were added to the disability roles than actually found an Obamanomics job. Claiming fiscal responsibility while add $5 trillion dollars to the debt and deficit. Obama can attack Romney all he wants, what they are is the last gasps of a dying Presidency may it rest in pieces.
Mr. President the least you could do for your supporters is go out in classy dignified campaign. All the smoke and mirrors won't change the fact that "It's the economy stupid!"
"One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back." - Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark
