Obviously, you've never had a die-hard capitalistic girl scout knock on your door to sell cookies...she'll whoop your Marine butt any day. You'll be eating coconut flakes for months on end because they cost more than the mints, dung it. She'd have UAss Grant begging for conditions.

Ha, news that actually hits home. I live on Shattuck right near the Berkley campus actually. I spend most of my time working in SF but I get to see all the fun stuff now and then.

What hell do the recruiters expect? Berkeley is famous for protesting the Vietnam war…where do you think all those anti war protesters went? They’re still here!

The U.S. should communicate to al qaeda that Berkley is a safe haven for them.

LOL! I love it! Two big thumbs up!

Sadly enough, there are already cases of NGO idealists who have been murdered by insurgents because they misunderstood what these fanatics are really thinking. It does not matter to them that they are doing good; it only matters that they are American and that is enough reason to kill them.

It's sad to see liberals (and conservatives for that matter) patronize foreigners in their own country in the name of...what exactly do liberals stand for? Trees, animals, abortion, ozone and global warming, whales, expensive and ineffective social programs...does any Iraqi even care about all this? No wonder Americans suck at winning hearts and minds.

(Looks for SenexFlatulus, the off topic police)

Woof woof. Sparky.

That is not to undermine the bravery of marines but when their obedience is being abused it is in the right of citizens to reject the institution. By all means if the federal government wishes to break all contact with the college, let them.

Rule no. 42 of the communist manefesto reads as follows:

In that the bousuase (communists cant spell as you can clearly see) are consumed with exploitation of the masses, they brainwash their citizens to ensure their domination of the proletariot (who are in our country illegally). Our calling is to liberate them from the control of those arrogant capitalist pigs. The plan is to undermine their confidence in the military. Since the Marines are badest of the bad, we will start with them first.

Text message to CPA in California: Berkley is nearly all ours, so get the Marines out of there first.
Right. More unintelligent drivel.

It sucks when freedom of speech is just one sided. That is what is so pathetic of these liberal loons, freedom of speech is great, as long as it is just their freedom of speech.

Since when does the U.S military have the same free speech rights as a U.S citizen?

Since they are US citizens. They just can't demonstrate against the military, while in the military.

That's right. They're doing a job...not practicing freedom of speech.

The liberals don't agree with their speech, so they want it squelched. How is it the liberal loons get to determine what a young individual wants to hear?

The military doesn't just recruit fighting men and women, they recruit, doctors, nurses, lawyers, fire fighters, clerical staff etc. Are you saying they have the right to deny individuals the right to make that choice for themselves?

The military cannot speak out against the military, but they are being discriminated against for promoting the military life to young Americans, by the government of Berkley. This will be settled in court, and I will be glad to take your money on this bet, because you will lose.
