[quote=usgrant7;428237] Since the Marines are badest of the bad, we will start with them first.
QUOTE] Obviously, you've never had a die-hard capitalistic girl scout knock on your door to sell cookies...she'll whoop your Marine butt any day. You'll be eating coconut flakes for months on end because they cost more than the mints, dung it. She'd have UAss Grant begging for conditions. |

The U.S. should communicate to al qaeda that Berkley is a safe haven for them.

Sadly enough, there are already cases of NGO idealists who have been murdered by insurgents because they misunderstood what these fanatics are really thinking. It does not matter to them that they are doing good; it only matters that they are American and that is enough reason to kill them. It's sad to see liberals (and conservatives for that matter) patronize foreigners in their own country in the name of...what exactly do liberals stand for? Trees, animals, abortion, ozone and global warming, whales, expensive and ineffective social programs...does any Iraqi even care about all this? No wonder Americans suck at winning hearts and minds. (Looks for SenexFlatulus, the off topic police) Woof woof. Sparky. |

Rights that were only twice defended in the past hundred years, both from preventable enemies that were more or less inflamed (and empowered) with our foreign policy. Pandering to jingoism is not what I deem patriotic. Indeed civil disobedience has ensured more rights than any war of existing states. That is not to undermine the bravery of marines but when their obedience is being abused it is in the right of citizens to reject the institution. By all means if the federal government wishes to break all contact with the college, let them.

It sucks when freedom of speech is just one sided. That is what is so pathetic of these liberal loons, freedom of speech is great, as long as it is just their freedom of speech.

The military doesn't just recruit fighting men and women, they recruit, doctors, nurses, lawyers, fire fighters, clerical staff etc. Are you saying they have the right to deny individuals the right to make that choice for themselves? The military cannot speak out against the military, but they are being discriminated against for promoting the military life to young Americans, by the government of Berkley. This will be settled in court, and I will be glad to take your money on this bet, because you will lose.
