There really needs to be a new era of immigration, but we keep suppressing it. We should realize our population densities will not suffice compared to the industrialization of those upcoming powers. We are so fixated on the Mexican border and how foreigners 'destroy' America that we fail to realize immigration is the only thing which will save America in the future when competing with China's industrial giants.

Lower the minimum wage? Most people can find jobs above minimum wage unless they are still in high school, cannot speak English, have some disablity, etc. Now if you are one of these I apologize, but the reality is most of us are not complacent making minimum wage. On the other hand, an immigrant would gladly take a minimum wage job over one that is around 7-8 dollars an hour with far less competition. It's all about making the buck for them, especially unskilled types. Tell me how you think this would lower the minimum wage.
