Congrats to McCain, I think we all saw that one coming.
I have to say I though Obama would be able to pull Texas out. Even though it looks like he will win the caucus as well as the majority of the delegates, but that's a whole different topic. This is gonna be a long one.

Looks like Obama's children's crusade has hit a snag.

I think McCain was the best republican by far, so that is a good thing. Hopefully he moves his party from the radical right. He seems fairly grounded and is as close to a fiscal conservative as there is in the republican party right now. (excluding Ron Paul who is a little too far off to get elected)
Yea, not a big fan of his war mongering ways, but even today, he softened his stance some. I think that withdrawl leads to success in Iraq, but McCain as a president wouldn't at least be an idiot. He is against torture, and would is independent enough to lead this country, rather than have his strings pulled by special interests much. (unless it is a cute girl On the Democrat side, the latinos in Texas were just too much for Obama to overcome. And in Ohio, I am suprised that he didn't show a little better. But I think the Hillary, he really likes NAFTA dirty trick made an impression. I would also say that Ohio is not what I would call a visionary state, so Obama's "vision" campaign does not have a strong pull. Well, I never thought my vote here in Pennsylvania would matter, but now it looks like I might actually have a reason to vote. I also just changed my party from Republican to Democrat so I can vote in the democratic primary. Pennsylvania is one of those states where you have to be registered for a party to vote in the primaries. So there is absolutly no reason to register independent, or all you are doing is saying you can't vote in either primary. And if you want to effect different parties different years, you have to re-register to vote over and over. I just can't wait for the election, because no matter who wins, any of these three canidates are 1,000,000 times better than the turkey we have in the white house now. |

Sorry Hillary fans. For you the truth is ugly.
http://www.politicalforum.com/showth...218#post450218 McCain fans, your fate is even worse. You know what? I like the guy. I wrote him in as my choice 8 years ago after the Bush dirty tricks team got him knocked off the primary ballot in Washington state. So the right wing got 8 years of Bush and now they (and McCain) are gonna pay for it. Hillary is McCain's only chance, and that is fading fast. |

McGovern-Obama. very similar in terms of the crowd who peddles him.
His domestic policies are classic tax&spend liberalism. Obamas foreign policy is so naive its simply pathetic. ![]()
