DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (AP) -- A man who was angry about a suspected theft recruited three teenagers to stab and beat six people to death with baseball bats in a Florida home, investigators said Sunday after making four arrests. Remains of the six victims -- four men and two women -- were found Friday in the blood-spattered home. All four suspects have been charged with first-degree murder and armed burglary, the Volusia County sheriff's department said. All of the victims had been stabbed, but autopsies determined the cause of death was the beating injuries. Troy Victorino, 27, of Deltona was identified as the ringleader. Also arrested were Robert Cannon, 18, of Orange City, Jerone Hunter, 18, of Deltona and Michael Salas, 18, of Deltona. "Officials struggling to come up with a motive for the crime believe the killings were committed over the theft of some clothes and an Xbox game system owned by Victorino," who has a criminal record for assault, a statement from the sheriff's office said. The rare occurance is becoming more and more common place. As are liberals. Think there might be a relationship between the decay of the most basic moral civility, and the rising tide of liberalism?

Then that means the number of conservatives would be on the decline as well. The number of lynchings and hangings of African Americans has gone down also. By your logic this must mean that there is a correlation between the decline of conservatives and the number of African Americans being murdered based on their race.

If the murder of 6 people is of no concern to you then change the channel.
As far as turning this tragedy into a political issue - specifically a partisan attack? That's disgusting

just like the trend that ended the horrors you spoke of with the civil rights movement of the '60's (a very good thing). I'm merely pointing out, that as some philosophies rise to dominance, certain "trends" begin to make themselves seen. Trends like the failure to recognize personal responsibility, and perverting the truth (isn't truth for one, truth for all?) Both sides need each other for moderation, like yin and yang, like day needs night, like PI needs disgust

I can see your point - but then the question is - is it the ideological trends that dictate these horrific events or how/how often the media reports them
And, yes, Yachtcare - I'll admit it - I need conservatives as much as you need your liberals

You'll notice, I make alot of my assertions based on history. Fifty years ago, before there was a flickering box in nearly every room, of every building on the North American continent, things were not reported on as much. People had to actually find time to READ the "news" of the day. The movies people saw at the theatre on a Saturday afternoon, did not contain the GRAPHIC violence, and promiscuity that is prevalent now. Not that it didnt exist, it simply did not make it's way into the mainstream. Now, thanks mainly to the "enlightened" liberal viewpoint, anything goes. I'm not attacking free speech. You can be enlightened, but remember there are certain basics (those old conservative ways) that temper one's thoughts and deeds.
