One solution to the problem of skyrocketing fuel prices: don't buy it, make it. People sick of paying the rising price of fuel are looking everywhere for a break... ... "To make a gallon of bio-diesel, it's about 80 cents," UCF student Michael Schulist said. Not only cheap, the muddy looking bio-diesel burns cleaner than its petroleum-based cousin. "Petro-diesel is a very dirty fuel. This is a very clean burning fuel," Schulist said. ...For as little as $1,000 for equipment, anyone can make bio-fuel too. PS.Drivers who brew their own fuel must pay the tax to avoid breaking the law and facing fines. Last edited by jcwang; 05-01-2008 at 07:12 AM. |

http://www.wesh.com/automotive/16093985/detail.html So you dont need to worry about the high price of gas anymore. All you have to do is start making your own, and your problem is solved. You might still have to pay taxes on it, but even then the cost to you is almost half of what you're paying now. No need to thank me. |

Hmmm, the Dollar has gone down and the price of Oil up? Hmm isn't that odd?
Wake up people. The Dollar is falling b/c of the war (which pushed prices up) and all the agitation in Middle East is starting to skyrocket the price of Oil. Yet another reason why we need to divert more energy (excuse the pun $3.50 a gallon, pffffff. In Europe we pay about $5-6 a gallon depending where you live. Ya knwo what the governments are doing with that extra money? Developing alternative fuel sources. Bit of a no brainer really, or so I thought.....

Sadly, I think you are correct. More and more people seem to think like everything will last forever. I know I didn't worry about it when I was much younger but I still had some concept of where everything comes from.
