There is something wrong with the structure of OPEC, have you been noticed, every so often[few months], there is some conflicts between those Middle East countries whether is small or big it always driving up the oil price.
Those "conflicts" tend to involve us. But if you don't like OPEC use less oil.

Gasoline Tax is for Road maintenance, to stop the Federal and State taxes for three months is not going to cause road hazard.

I have a car. But that has very little to do with the issue. The issue that we use too much oil. The solution is to use less oil. That's it. Nothing more. And until we start using less oil prices will continue to rise. (The weak dollar is also a contributing factor).

Default We are in the same boat

Even the gasoline price will impact me less than you SUV drivers but we are all in the same sinking boat. Not if I use less than you, I could get a price break. Unless you own oil company stocks otherwise we had better stick together asking our congress to immediately FREEZ TAXES ON GASOLINE.

Other countries in the world their governments are trying to take care their own people by FREEZING the gasoline price or starting to regular the price with government aid, and of course stop levying on gasoline is another way to ease the PAIN.
Where, in Europe? What are Europeans paying for gas compared to us?

Maybe you should spend a little less time complaining, and a little more time counting your blessings...most Americans have no idea how bad "bad" really is.

No argument here. Although I think you are exaggerating the gas thing a lot. Compared to other Western nations, we still have it pretty good.

A year or so ago.. I seem to recall some here saying this is what they wanted.

They wanted to impose taxes to increase gas prices so they could force people to drive eurotrash cars...and "change how people act"

Well beep-beep enjoy it.

But thanks again for highlighting the BS of the rhetoric....Kind of a running theme with some here.

Sorry, that story is from 2005. I shouldnt use out of date links like that.

The price is actually higher now. Germany is reporting $8/gallon

and

Numerous blogs are supporting these figures...$7 to $9 depending on the nation.

Compare to Europe? May I remind you that we do produce 1/3 of oil supply and we do have more to drill, they don't.

I am not the only one in the states complaining, it is affecting our economy and people's lives. If things are going you way, we may as well all move to Saudi Arabia for a change.
By the way, there is a difference between complaining and addressing the fact.

Mostly because you're spoiled. Most Americans are spoiled. We've had it good for so long, we've started to think we are entitled to cheap fuel.

Not saying that we should not drill in Alaska or whatever...I agree. I'm just saying that you are exaggerating the problem. $3.50 a gallon is hardly the end of the world. Its an annoyance, not a catastrophy.

I'm sure you noticed that those are not Western nations. Compared to other developed nations, we have it pretty good.

Taiwan might count as developed. What are they paying there now? I'd like to see the source you are basing these assumptions on. I posted mine.

But we wont, even if gas hits $20 a gallon here. Wanna guess why?

Explain the distinction.

Your initial post contained a lot of ALL CAPS...which to most people comes across as whining or yelling. It looks like complaining to me.
