Not saying that we should not drill in Alaska or whatever...I agree. I'm just saying that you are exaggerating the problem. $3.50 a gallon is hardly the end of the world. Its an annoyance, not a catastrophy.
The problem is not Just $3.50, it is still going UP to God knows where.

Taiwan might count as developed. What are they paying there now? I'd like to see the source you are basing these assumptions on. I posted mine.

Explain the distinction.

Your initial post contained a lot of ALL CAPS...which to most people comes across as whining or yelling. It looks like complaining to me.
They are Questions and suggestions to our government. Did you see our government do anything yet? Why do we need a government for?

PS. ALL CAPS = STRONG STATEMENT

So you cant find evidence in English? Ok.

I assume you can though. What is the price of gas in Taiwan?

Stekim knows where too. He just explained to you how supply and demand works.

Not to act as a nanny state and tell corporations how much they are allowed to charge for something.

The least our government can do is put a FREEZ on taxing gasoline, is that too much to ask?

By the way we pay taxes which supposedly to go to Road maintenance anyway, the additional Federal and state taxes is a rip off.

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The state-owned CPC Corp., Taiwan formally announced yesterday to continue freezing its oil product prices at the current levels for the month of April following a decision by Premier Chang Chun-hsiung.
http://www.chinapost.com.tw/taiwan/%...inet-rules.htm

This chart will help you since taiwan use different measurement:
http://www.treehugger.com/files/2008...oline-asia.php

....In Malaysia and Indonesia, which have the cheapest petrol in Asia, fuel subsidies account for over 10% of total government spending. [...]
Not only are price controls no long-term cure for inflation, argue many Western commentators, but if domestic fuel prices are not allowed to rise in line with crude-oil prices, then motorists from Beijing to Bangalore will guzzle more oil. This, in turn, pushes global oil prices higher.

What, $4.25? Why, if this keeps up, we may eventually end up paying almost HALF of what Germany pays for gas?

My candidate is proposing that actually. Not sure how much 18 cents a gallon savings is going to do for you, but he's willing to do it.

Ask the liberal candidates how much of break they are going to give you.

Um...did you read your own chart?

The US is at the BOTTOM of that chart, heh heh. According to your chart, people in the US pay less for gas than people in Taiwan. In fact, only Indonesia and Malaysia pay less than Americans, and not by a wide margin.

According to your chart:

US:
$.75 per Liter ($2.83 per gallon)

Taiwan:
$.95 per Liter ($3.59 per gallon)

Numbers are approximate because your chart doesn't give specific figures. Conversion chart is here if your want to do the math yourself - http://www.ez-calculators.com/measur...calculator.htm. But your initial claim that Taiwan pays less for gas than we do is obviously wrong according to your source.

Even in Asia, only Indonesia and Malaysia pay less than we do...and THAT is only because of government subsidies. Even with those subsidies, they don't pay significantly less than we do.

Thanks for proving my point.
