Default Bob Dole Calls Scott McClellan a 'Miserable Creature'

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,360723,00.html

Quote:
Scott,

There are miserable creatures like you in every administration who don't have the guts to speak up or quit if there are disagreements with the boss or colleagues. No, your type soaks up the benefits of power, revels in the limelight for years, then quits, and spurred on by greed, cashes in with a scathing critique.

In my nearly 36 years of public service I've known of a few like you. No doubt you will "clean up" as the liberal anti-Bush press will promote your belated concerns with wild enthusiasm. When the money starts rolling in you should donate it to a worthy cause, something like, "Biting The Hand That Fed Me." Another thought is to weasel your way back into the White House if a Democrat is elected. That would provide a good set up for a second book deal in a few years.

I have no intention of reading your "exposé" because if all these awful things were happening, and perhaps some may have been, you should have spoken up publicly like a man, or quit your cushy, high profile job. That would have taken integrity and courage but then you would have had credibility and your complaints could have been aired objectively. You're a hot ticket now but don't you, deep down, feel like a total ingrate?

BOB DOLE
Excellent letter Senator Dole. But Scotty was just being the good little whore he always was. He merely sold himself to the highest bidder. In this case George Soros.

as anyone noticed the timing of McClellan book, talk show presentations etc? The focus of the media is on Scott McClellan not Hillary Clinton. We all noticed the timing of the John Edwards endorsement of Obama-it was the lead story on the Wednesday nightly news programs-Clinton's victory in West Virginia was barely mentioned.

I am thinking that the timing of both events, Edwards endorsement of Obama and McClellan book promotion were not a coincident

They were all Obama supported...

Get him out.

Need I say more?!!!!??!!!

Obviously I will. Scott McClellan wrote a book and it's obvious that any pro-Bush publishers weren't going to publish his book, I mean come on! Believe what you will from the book, but he released it b/c he knew it would sell, now what does that say about the US?

Although many of the liberals on this board seem to be holding onto there ideology to the point that they are blocking there own logical thinking (if the ones who have already posted even use it or posses such a thing) but none the less Dole is exactly right.

I marvel at times at the brilliance of those who are from the greatest generation and how they tend to quite quickly and easily pin points the true problems with so many issues. Dole shows that judgment here when it comes to McClellan .The man is a low class liar no mater what your own personal held beliefs on what he is claiming in his book.

If you believe (as many liberals on this board due largely to there own personal emotional connection with Bush bashing) that McClellan is only now coming forth with "truth" after signing a book deal and obviously increasing his own profit, and that therefore he is "good" is by far the strangest and most morally and logical wanting argument I have ever heard. Here are a group of people who are calling a individual who well it was in his own self interest lied to the American people (if we take in his own account) knowingly for years is now considered an "honest man".

If McClellan honestly believes that for years he knowingly lied to people why did he not stand up at the time resign and then in the name of truth make his case. Why now only after he has already caused damage does he step forward and expects (and indeed is receiving among some crowds due largely to the emotional hatred of the left)to be hailed as a hero? The man only is honest when dollars signs are connected to the so called truth? And this is the kind of man that many leftist are now wetting themselves with excitement over due to his supposed honesty?

Bob Dole hit the nail exactly on the head. A truly honest and honorable man would have resigned and spoke up as soon as he discovered the supposed lies and falsehoods that where being made. That is what strength and character is. A man who only tells the supposed truth only when dollar sings are placed in front of him is an outright coward who deserves no respect or admiration.

This man has no evidence either way beyond his own personal reliability which any honest thinking individual can see is none existent. Leaving us now with people discussing this issue sadly based solely upon there own personal pre-consumptions.

Such is why Bob Dole lost his race. Temper, Temper. Temper.

Not very statesmanlike either.

No one is defending McClellans lack of balls when he was working for Bush and ATTENDED EVERY policy meeting. He should have said something then. He is just as responsible.

I freaking love Bob Dole. Sometimes, I wonder where we would be as a country if he'd been elected president. Bob Dole is a real man in a country where real men are an endangered species.

No I don't what is your point? Are you insulting a man who served his nation almost his entire adult life from the time he was a solider in the fields of World War II to the decades he served in Congress solely based upon the fact that he at times speaks in the third person and has weaker communication skills compared to other politicians?

Obviously.

Quote:

I would say any right wing Publisher due to ideology or honest publisher due to morality wouldn't publish the book.

It mostly says that the left is willing to block any intellectual quire upon what is stated as long as it stokes there Bush hatred to a higher level. Not that the same thing doesn't happen at times on the right usually over the Clintons but off the top of my head not to an intellectual dishonest level like this.

Default putting a bullseye on the change agent

you can try to effect change in an organization by working within it
if that can't be accomplished, then you work outside of the organization to make those needed changes
appears to be what mcclellan attempted to do

that he is now in a position to effect needed changes externally, seems to be what the opposition is so angered about

no suprise, the right wing prefers to kill the messenger rather than listen to the message
