Visit meant to push for more rebuilding aid for war-weary country


BAMIYAN, Afghanistan - First lady Laura Bush, on a mission to highlight signs of progress in war-weary Afghanistan, ventured outside the capital Sunday to an area that symbolizes both the destruction and attempt at rebirth.

On her third visit to the country, the first lady flew into Kabul before boarding a helicopter for a 50-minute flight to Bamiyan province, the farthest she has traveled from Afghanistan's largest city.

The helicopter landed in a dusty field at a provincial reconstruction team compound operated by New Zealand. From there she could see the empty



niches in a cliffside where two giant Buddha statues once stood.

The fact is, the only thing Laura Bush would ever steal, is the hearts and minds of the American people. She is without a doubt one of our finest first ladies.

8 years of another do-nothing first lady. Her old man should have such a fine record.

She was dodging bullets on the runway. Ooops, I forgot, that was Hillary's lie.

But she did produce those FBI files, oops, my bad, Hillary again.

Laura did show some real business savvy out foxing the investigation into the Whitewater investment scandal. Oh my, is that Hillary again? Yep my memory is coming back.


The fact is slick, you won't find one single scandal or anything of question about Laura Bush, except that is what the loony nut job left lemmings make up.
