(Link does not appear to be working anymore) BELSAN, Russia - More than a dozen militants wearing suicide-bomb belts seized a southern Russian school in a region bordering Chechnya (news - web sites) on Wednesday, taking hostage about 400 people — half of them children — and threatening to blow up the building if police storm it. As many as eight people have been reported killed, one of them a school parent. Hours into the desperate standoff, security officials said they had made brief contact with the hostage-takers. Russian special forces wearing camouflage and carrying heavy-caliber machine guns surrounded Middle School No. 1. About 1,000 people, mostly parents, were massed the three-story building in the town of Belsen, demanding information and accusing the government of failing to protect their children. Kazbek Dzantiyev, head of the North Ossetia region's Interior Ministry, said that the hostages have threatened "for every destroyed fighter, they will kill 50 children and for every injured fighter — 20 (children)," the ITAR-Tass news agency reported. Islamic Culture
Once again, this is not an isolated event. It is a modus operandi of an Islamic Culture out of control.
I don't know if this is a simply a fact no one comprehends or is simply unwilling to admit to. I'm not sure what it will take to get people to finally wake up attack this problem at the root but until we do look forward to more of this in the future whether or not we are in Iraq, the Russians occupy Chechnya, or the French ban Islamic shawls for girls in public schools.......... Being passive and hoping they will go away will only feed the beast

Being passive will have the following result...
The islamists will use these sorts of acts of terror to gain political control in country after country until we are virtually surrounded and outnumbered.
It would be foolish, in the extreme, to see this trend coming and do nothing to halt it. Catz

I keep thinking "why can't they see that this is only hurting their "cause"...but then i remember that i am thinking like a sane person and they obviously are not.
God is with these kids and their parents. I pray that everyone of them will come out okay and that when they grow up this horrible experience will help them find a way to stop this insanity. |
