Russia's Foreign Ministry threatened a "military-technological" response if the United States deploys a missile defense system in former Soviet-bloc nations near the evil former Russian Empire's borders. Russia has shown the world what a disgusting paranoid country it is. Russia the evil man of Eur-asia who is responsible for the murder of 75-100 million of it's neighbors just in the 20th century alone has the audcaity to theaten the US over a peacefull plan to deploy defensive missles.

The evil ones from Muscovy could never be trusted and they never should be trusted.

Let's put this in context. Gorbachev in 1991 allowed the newly reunified Germany to become a part of NATO under the condition that Bush Sr. promise not to expand NATO any further east. Germany's a country that's attacked Russia twice in the past century. Bush agreed, but just a few years later Clinton expanded NATO further to the East. Then you look at all the post Cold War agreements that were signed with Russia. For example the reduction of nuclear arms, which is an obligation under the NPT, or the closing down of bases by both sides. Russia has closed down most of its military bases, while the US that had the same obligation expanded those bases into Russia neighborhood.

So within that context, would you not be paranoid if you were Russia? Is it not an insult to the Russian peoples intelligence to tell them that the Eastern Europeans need a missile defense shield because WE of all people will try to bomb them?

You o"f all people " have made threats against the West and since Central and now parts of Eastern-Europe belong to NATO.

That agreement with The Gorb was made with a country that no longer exists - The Evil Soviet Union. Furthermore that sield can also be used to defend against the New Evil Russia if those barbarians attempt to threaten Central or Eastern Europe. The barbaric Russians has in gthe past invaded Eastern and Cebtral Europe therefore they are indeed a potential enemy that needs to be kept at bay like a vicious dog.

By the way during WW I tHE RUSSIAN EMPIRE actually attacked Austria and Germany it was during WW II that the Weinerschnitzels attacked the Evil E mpire USSR.

You're dodging the issue by going back to WW2 and ancient history. The fact is in the very recent history and the post-Cold War period the US has made numerous moves that should and does make Russia nervous. There's no denying this fact. So you can't be surprised when they're a little suspicious when the US hands them utter bullsht and says the defense system is aimed at Iran, not Russia. And show me one aggressive threat we've made against Europe, since that's the claim you're making.

The US is claiming full transparency for Russia on the missle defense. Besides, the key word here is missle DEFENSE system. Your logic is like saying barbed wire should make people nervous.

Orwellien phrases like "defense" are meaningless. One of the most aggressive armies in the world is called the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces). When France was ravaging Algeria it was under a "civilising mission". When the Japanese plundered Manchuria it was to create a "human paradise". The Iranian massacres in India are known as the great war for self defense here. Heck, we're hoping every day that we don't get "liberated" by the United States the same way Iraq was.

So if you're going to be a simpleton and take at face value anything any government says because of the terms they use then you're hopeless.

You made threats against the West which includes Europe. Since most of Europe is in Nato and so is the US you by association have made theats against most of Europe.

As far as the evil Russia and it's actions well what better yard stick than history to predict what those barbarians will do than to measure what they did.
