Default This is part of their overall plan

Putin said:

One of the tasks pursued by the terrorists was to stoke ethnic hatred, to blow up the whole of our North Caucasus.
It's part of the intel estimates which assess the aims of militant islam by listening to their communications chatter. They're wanting to plunge the world into a global conflict. While we tend to see things as East vs. West, they see it as North vs. South. The more instable things get, the closer to their goal they get.

The involvement of the Caucasus is one key element in their scheme. If you recall, the word caucasian is derived from those people who came from this region with "white" skin. Now their struggle is not only multi-national, but multi-racial (or mutli-ethnic) and harder for us to fight. Now you can't as readily identify your enemy any more.

Default Animals

Well, if their goal is for the rest of the world to HATE them....I think they have succeeded. Reading this morning what these little children went through, makes me sick! It also makes me ask....."What kind of animals are capable of such things?" Sounds like Nazi Germany to me.

How does this remind you of Nazi Germany?

No feelings for little children at all! That's how.

One young mother who was let go.....was allowed to take her 2-yr old, but was forced to leave her 6 year old who was screaming and crying for her Mommy behind. The children were hot thirsty...and were not allowed to go to the bathroom. That's why you saw so many in underwear or naked....because they had to just soil themselves where they sat. They had bombs placed all around them and told that if they moved, they would be blown up. When they complained or cried, the terrorists just laughed or sneered. The trauma these children have gone through, they will NEVER get over.

Default Putin's hatred for Chechen rebels is justified, we just saw.

These people are monsters. It shows exactly why they'll never get what they want. You simply do not negotiate with people who target children in terrorist attacks. Each and every one of them should be shot, and the Kremlin has justifiably articulated a willingness to do so.

Speaking of terrorists who target children, that's why the Palistineans will never get what they want. They have commited suicide bombings on every kind of public place, among them schools.

Why is it that when after these Chechen rebels target children everyone hates them but when Palistinean terrorists do it it's okay?

I don't think anyone says its ok to commit these types of acts, no matter what the motives are.

What I think some people are concerned with is this generalization of an entire culture/country/ethnicity because of the acts of a group of extremists, and the black and white mentality people attach to the issues that instigate these acts.

It's this tunnel vision mentality that people, such as myself, are frightened of because it's no different then the thought process of these Terrorist/murderers

But please do not take it as ever condoning these actions. I pray that these *BEEP*ing Black Widows are brought to justice, as well as anyone who assisted them

Default so sad

My prayers are with them all too..

I'm surprised to see the parents not going into Chechnya themselves since the Government is showing lack of an iron fist to put a stop to this madness.

Default I read about some of the human rights abuses from your other

links on this topic. While the terrorists must be brought to justice, it has to be done right. If the Russian government starts shooting innocent Chechens they will become the bad guys and they will justify the rebel's cause.

Just because terrorists won't follow the rules it doesn't mean the Russian soldiers can't. By commiting human rights abuses they just lower themselves to the terrorists levels.

However, after it is confirmed who is a terrorists and who is not, any who are proven to be with them should be shot, like I said before. But Putin cannot do it drasticly. He has to be sure he does it the way a responsible democratic country does it, not the way a dictator does it.
