Arrow Picken's Energy Plan

IT'S TIME TO STOP AMERICA'S ADDICTION TO FOREIGN OIL

America is in a hole and it's getting deeper every day. We import 70% of our oil at a cost of $700 billion a year - four times the annual cost of the Iraq war.

I've been an oil man all my life, but this is one emergency we can't drill our way out of. But if we create a new renewable energy network, we can break our addiction to foreign oil.

On January 20, 2009, a new President gets sworn in. If we're organized, we can convince Congress to make major changes towards cleaner, cheaper and domestic energy resources.

To get this done, I need your help. Check out the plan. If you think it's worth fighting for, please join our effort
Looks good.. I agree with most of it, especially the wind power.

Not so keen on using NG to power combustion engines tho.. it would require huge investment in new vehicles and infrastructure to support it.

imo longterm, the USA would be better off eventually phasing out the combustion engine and go with electric motors. That way the only thing we have to worry about are the best ways to generate massive amounts of electricity.

This sounds like Boone's plan. He has a commercial out promoting his idea.

I have no objection, that's pretty much how we get electricity now. But the enviros don't like it.

Meanwhile, we need oil for our vehicles.

And I would like to see more nuclear facilities being built. And more refineries. And more drilling. And more EVERYTHING!
