Not to discourage him, but I thought with Obama making his way across the Atlantic, he might consider running for president over there since they love him so much.
A sampling of public opinion by Britain's Daily Telegraph shows that 70% of Italians, 67% of Germans, 65% fo the French and 49% of Britons said they would vote for Obama. This compared with just 15% in Italy, 6% in Germany, 8% in France and 14% in Britain for Arizona Senator John McCain. Russia is the only country where support for McCain rivals that of Obama, with 24% going for McCain and 31% for Obama. While conservative voters generally don't give a monkey's butt what the world thinks, this will play well with the left and the moderates. I predict Dems will put forth legislation this week seeking to open the border to immigrants from the EU, in an effort to shore up their base. They better hurry, the election is almost here. I'm sure it's a matter of (short) time before our press spouts "news"

Why is this shocking news? Europe as a whole is becoming very socialized. They would rather have the government mandate how they live their lives with their own money, while many people do not feel that way here. Germany at one point loved Hitler. Does that mean we should praise an individual who is loved by another country? I'm sorry, but this little tidbit of information is pointless.

It's the nature of men to forget what becomes mundane to us. In the case of the West, with LARGE emphasis on Europe and unfortunately a good deal on our own part, we are allowing our own individual rights to slip away because we forgot what it cost us. We take for granted what we have before us and gladly trade it away for some instant gratification. Man alone very rarely perpetrates or has within his capability to perpetrate evil upon his fellows, only through government are the greatest tragedy's of human history allowed to come to pass and in this way communism (and through extension socialism) has the greatest potential to bring harm to our country. So (*)(*)(*)(*) if the Euro-trash wants Obama they can have him. (Note:I exclude England from the Euro-trash comment)
