Glad we see eye to eye on something, Hat.
It might do the guys on the left some good if they actually based impeachment on facts, that at some point, they didnt agree with him on.

Yeah. Let's keep to facts.

Records: Senators who OK'd war didn't read key report

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A new biography of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has once again raised the issue of whether members of Congress read a key intelligence report before the 2002 vote to authorize war in Iraq.

Clinton did not read the 90-page, classified National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq, according to "Her Way: The Hopes and Ambitions of Hillary Rodham Clinton."

For members of Congress to read the report, they had to go to a secure location on Capitol Hill. The Washington Post reported in 2004 that no more than six senators and a handful of House members were logged as reading the document.

The Clinton biography, written by New York Times reporters Jeff Gerth and Don Van Natta Jr., summarizes the intelligence estimate, which combined reports of U.S. intelligence agencies about Iraq.

Clinton, a New York Democrat, was briefed on the intelligence report multiple times, a spokesperson told CNN.

Clinton is one of six presidential candidates who were in the Senate in October 2002 who voted for the resolution to authorize the invasion of Iraq.

You got a lot of impeaching to do. Only 6 Senators and a handful of Reps actually read the confidential info. Then voted for the use of force. How did they get their information if the use of force was necessary or not......a ouiji board?

What is even better, is the fact that any member of Congress can ask for an NIE and must have it within either 48 or 72 hours. I cant remember which.

My dad told me about these. He actually did a few back when he was in the service.

Congress cant impeach Bush. They would have to impeach themselves, just for the simple facts you stated above. There is no way for them to say they couldnt see the facts when NIE's can be asked for at any time they so chose.

Just goes to show you, how political they have been the last 7 years about everything.

If you really believe that what Bush said there was reality maybe you would like to buy the London bridge It's half price today.

Why then did we attack Iraq instead of Saudi Arabia or perhaps Pakistan?

Why did we not just attack them all at once the war on terror is so vital?

Why was it only Iraq?

Really please and you expect me to believe this Bush really meant that?

Why not find something to say that an adult might actually think was true?

Would you have supported any of those? No.

So you are trying to argue for something as being good, that you know you yourself wouldnt have ever supported.

We had been at war against Iraq for over a decade before finally taking them out. That war didnt start in 2003. People forget that and need to remember it. Iraq started in 1991.
