Default Was this a FAILED attempt at Comedy?

From Letterman last night

Kerry's "Top 10 Bush Tax Proposals" are:

10. No estate tax for families with at least two U.S. presidents.

9. W-2 Form is now Dubya-2 Form.

8. Under the simplified tax code, your refund check goes directly to Halliburton.

7. The reduced earned income tax credit is so unfair, it just makes me want to tear out my lustrous, finely groomed hair. (is Kerry talking about that goofy looking hedge on the top of his head?)

6. Attorney General (John) Ashcroft gets to write off the entire U.S. Constitution. (Am I missing something or is this one just utterly stupid?)

5. Texas Rangers can take a business loss for trading Sammy Sosa.

4. Eliminate all income taxes; just ask Teresa (Heinz Kerry) to cover the whole thing.

3. Cheney can claim Bush as a dependent.

2. Hundred-dollar penalty if you pronounce it "nuclear" instead of "nucular."

1. George W. Bush gets a deduction for mortgaging our entire future.

Wow.....those are some serious belly-rollers!!! This guy is a dud.....he doesn't even know how to talk smack very well.......

those were some great jokes Mr. Kerry..........

Default Kerry was funnier

When Kerry said the hold-up on agreeing for a debate schedule was Bush insisting that he receive "life-lines" during the debate.

Now that was funny.

I didn't hear that part.....but you're right. That IS funny.

I want to also say that it will be a huge mistake for Kerry to underestimate (or misunderestimate) Bush on the debates. If Kerry were smart he'd have a conversation with Gore on the best approach.

Default .

Is Kerry actually trying to raise expectations for himself and lower expectations for Bush? Does he NEVER listen to his advisers? They can't possibly be that stupid, can they?

Default So Plastic

He's so cardboard....so stiff....so plastic. Must be all that Botox.

BTW, I got a kick out of his making fun of the way Bush pronounces nuclear......considering John Kerry pronounces "idea".......IDEAR.....and mispronunces many other words as well.

Default Did you also here this?

In asking Kerry about the style of debate...i.e. standing or sitting, Kerry eventually made a crack about Bush probably sitting in Cheney's lap. I thought that was hilarious. Like a ventriloquist and his dummy. Classic. Much better humor than Cheney tries to portray...."how do you think I got this job?"

The only problem is, that joke was already cracked during the 9/11 commission when Bush and Cheney appeared together for the Commissioners in a closed session. It was even quoted on this board back then. Still, funny joke.

I forgot about that. I knew it sounded vaguely familiar. Thanks for reminding me though. It is still funny...when I picture it, I can't help but laugh.

Default .

That's a pretty bad top ten, but number 9 was pretty funny. It's just like how Bush says Amerrrca.
