I think you are just jealous cause I am so so so happy because Bush is almost gone. By November I will be euphoric.

An unnecessary war is finally reaching it's last chapter. Thank God.

No its horrible for Obama becasue it takes Iraq off the table. If I were McCain I would be hitting Obama day and day on this. I would make him pledge that if elected president he would honor the word of our nation and stick to the agreement we have made with Iraq. I would force him to admit that we are a nation not simply a governmnet that changes every 4 years and that the word of our nation supersedes who ever is in the Whitehouse at the time. I would force Obama to completely abandon any makeshift plan he has for Iraq and follow the agreement our nation has given its word to uphold and follow it to the letter.

easy comeback for Obama:
"i will honor whatever treaty receives the Constitutionally required ratification by 2/3 of the United States Senate"

knowing dubya bin lyin has no intentions of following our nation's law on this matter. he has also been advised without ratification, his agreement will have no lasting effect beyon the end of the error ... 01/20/09. iraq was similarly advised so they are not surprised

The time table was Obama's plan. He's met with Maliki.

The current agreement is a deadline of 2011 (Iraq wanted it sooner in 2010) which means troop withdrawal would begin as soon as next year. Obama had previously said he would work with Iraq and the commanders on the ground to nail down a specific time table for withdrawal.

Obama can honor the agreement the US is negotiating with Maliki and still keep his promise of bringing our troops home.

The American people want the war to end. They know Obama has been against it from the beginning and has been working to bring our troops home. If anything, this matter will hurt the GOP.

You can say it his plan all you want no one will beleive it. With the deal struck he cannot campaign on bringing the troops home. Its a done deal and he has to find a new horse to beat.
