Well Hurricane Gustav is approaching and over 150 people, both family and close family friends, are up from down South. Yesterday, we had a baptism to attend for my nephew, then we had t orush home to watch LSU spank App. State 41-13, then we had 2 birthday parties for a niece and nephew, and all the while family and friends streamed in from the Gulf South of Louisiana. Nothing is more fun then when everyone comes up for a hurricane.

Without family what do you have? There is no better inspiring story, then people who live and work, who have their own businesses and lively hoods in an area where devestation can occur and take everything they own, and to see them laughing and smiling not knowing what is going to happen or what they will see once they drive back to their homes.

Cajuns are the butt end of alot of jokes, but their is one thing they have above all others, and that is faith in that God will provide for them regardless of the situation and the other is the never ending faith in family.

Mother nature can take your material goods, but it can never take away your faith and family.

Just goes to show you, that the ever enduring spirit, will go on, regardless of what is taken from you.

We will rebuild b/c we as Americans, we dont back down from tough times.

Good luck to all of you. Looks like they are a lot more prepared this time. You have to admit---- Gov. Blanco and Mayor Nagin were very unprepared last time. Lucky she's gone and hopefully he learned his lessons. Texas and Florida are always well-prepared; I don't see why Louisiana can't be as well.
