Blame the stupidity of the people for living where they live???

How often has this natural disaster occurred?? So if you get caught up in a tornado, you deserve blame for living where a tornado might strike? I'll bet the North Pole doesn't have hurricanes. You would be safe from one there. Do you blame people for being born? All this does is allow you to walk away and claim that everyone controls everything that happens to them so I don't ever need to be involved or feel any obligation to help others. Me, me, me!

No one is slapping themselves on the back for getting it right. They were just acting like adults, not Rock stars, and are doing what is right. Big difference.

Do you blame people for being hit by a tornado while living in tornado prone area?

Do you blame people for being burnt out of their house for living in a fire prone area?

Or is it just because most of the dead Americans that died in Katrina were poor black people?

If you live in a tornado prone area I expect that you have a storm shelter below ground with provisions to get you by. If you live in a high fire area I expect you to clear 100'+ from your home or property, if you allow the build up of fuels around your home and a fire comes, it's on you! I live in California and I have fuel, water, food and shelter stored in two locations. I have enough equipment to take care of my neighbors too. But like I said before, even here when there's a tsunami warning from an offshore earthquake idiots flock to the beach for a look-see. They should drown for their stupidity.

If you're stupid enough to live 15 feet below sea level in a coastal region that also floods and you can't swim like me, too (*)(*)(*)(*) bad. The only thing that should live 15 feet below sea level are fish. Unless of course you want to SCUBA dive with me. These boneheads don't even have a boat in the garage or life jackets, if you want sympathy look in the dictionary between "S"(brown stuff) and syphilis.

Stupidity should be painful, it's part of evolution. Funny Libs hate creationists but when evolution rears it's wonderful head you cry for the weak and condemn the strong. You're pathetic.

How nice of GD to bring race into the argument. I didn't and it shows the weakness of your position.

No, your answer to your own question isn't there. Again, how many times did this horrific of a disaster happen to New Orleans? Second, so everybody in coastal areas should build themselves a bomb shelter in case they get hit by a hurricane? Come on, the key here is what might happen. If it happens once every 150 years, you're going to build a special shelter? Highly unlikely. This is the weakness of your argument and why natural disasters are extremely hard to plan for. If it never has happened, how do you plan for it?

This is why I find this whole argument that reveals how some people can blame victims for an unfortunate occurance. They are so wrapped up in themselves, that they begin to blame people for circumstances outside their control, so they can turn away and feel no sadness or any feeling of obligation to help out. That's truly sad.

Hang in there. Its looks like the news is good. No direct hit this time. Definitely shouldn't be as much damage. Hopefully you'll be back to normal in no time. Definitely a big deal.

It was a left loon governor, and a left loon mayor that were so incredibly inept, even when warned, that sat on their azzes.
