Thank you, sir ... I didn't publish that for recognition, but I am grateful for it.

I would say that's pretty reprehensible. I would say that I agree with some, disagree with others, but support them all. Tell me: is that how you really feel?
Your question, of course, is loaded ... of course, I support all the troops that serve honorably. Honorably, of course, is the operative word.

And niether are you. because that would be false as well.

Well, sir, my discharge was an honorable one. So by whose standards are we determining homorable service because apparently by yours I don't qualify since I don't march in lockstep with your opinions?

What rsay said. Likewise, I served honorably and disagree with you.
There is only one valid definition of "honorable service". You don't have the luxury of defining it.

Quote:
"I solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Not at all ... again, you choose take great jumps that defy logic. The discussion was about soldiers in action. Now, you have morphed it to all veterans. Keep changing, and eventually, you'll find a point where you're right. But, I wouldn't count on it ..

Nice try to deflect, though. Frankly, I don't care one way or the other what your opinion is today, but your attempt to involve the soldiers today thru erroneous and fictitious pronouncements required response.

As did yours
In fact, your entire argument has nothing to do with "the troops" whatsoever. You can argue in support of "the mission" or "the war" or "the Commander-in-Chief", but that's not the same thing at all.

If you don't care what my opinion is today then why have you followed me thru about 5 different threads today?

And this thread might have stayed on topic were it not for your insistence on being the sole arbiter of what constitutes service to ones country or support for the country's troops.

Good try. You have yet to refute any of my statements in any thread today with a clear and logical argument but keep working at it. I am sure you will get it right sooner or later.
