Because offensive speech is in the eye of the beholder (who gets to decide what is offensive--and we all have different standards)? Because offensive speech isn't a crime? Because people aren't "victimized" by hearing words? Because it is plain crazy to try and get into people's heads to get them to conform to some idealized standard of politically correct thought?

This is a forum administered by a private entity. They have the RIGHT to set their own rules and to enforce them. Has NO bearing on whether "Freedom of Speech" is tolerated or absolute.

Now please answer my earlier question about Hyde Park.

The principle applies. It was a thread blocked to spare the insensities of Americans. So on this site, 'freedom of speech' doesnt apply. I'm sure the relatives of 9/11 victims wouldve seen the funny side of the post...........?

Obviously Utah, as i'm from England i must therefore live in London......actually no I live about 300 miles away. I'm believe it is still there, its a meeting place for local people to air their beliefs. No problem with that, as long as they're not inciting violence, as I've said before.
