here, every word is base on facts. I don't know how many of you guys have noticed that we are currently in the middle of a black cultural revolution. black culture currently dominates us in every day life, in songs, movie stars, singers, movies, fashion, NBA, etc....

I don't know how many of you have watched and remember, 24 hours, I am legend, and Manchurian Candidate.

24 hours - Black President
I am Legend - last man standing, the hero, is black
Manchurian candidate - the evil woman's hair style, dress, totally reminds me of Hilary Clinton, and again, the hero is black.

When I link these movies together, I am very disturb. I feel like we are being passively brainwashed.

An article I wrote about the black movement in the 60's to present as a lecture..

How many remember the Black Panther Party.

2337 W Monroe Chicago Illinois.
It is just and address after all.
It really doesn't seem like much. I haven't been in the area for several years so I am not even certain it is still standing.
2400 W Madison Chicago Illinois.
Again just and address. The Building that stood there for years had a Banner painted on the upper facade.
It read Black Panther Headquarters Chapter 1.
That building has long since been torn down. It survives only in the memory of the few that saw it as an important statement in the radical movements of the 60’s.

The Black Panther Party was formed in Oakland CA. Huey P. Newton was a large influence in it’s organization.

That is not the story. The story is of a bright youth from Chicago. He was a shining light within the Black Community. He was born in 1948 in Maywood and attended Proviso East High School. He graduated with honors. His Name was Fred Hampton.

While in college he became a youth organizer for the NAACP. He was able to gather poor children and teens His group was over 500 youth strong. He started a pantry in the Chicago area and food give away program to the needy.

In May of 1969 Fred Hampton gained national prominence. He called a press conference to announce that he had gathered the gang leaders in Chicago together and got them all to sign a non-aggression pack. He had accomplished what no one before him had been able to do. The gangs went silent. The members helped in the neighborhoods with some programs that were to come. He called the group the “Rainbow Coalition” because it had Black, Mexican, Puerto Rican and White youth. In later years we would hear the term Rainbow Coalition again. It would be taken over and used by Jesse Jackson. Fred had done it first. Later Jackson would say that it was in memory of Hampton.

By the age of 20 Hampton had started free clinics, breakfast programs after care several food giveaway’s and shelters. He was a great speaker. He was later spoken of highly by Harold Washington Mayor of Chicago and Dr Quentin Young for his oratory skills.

Fred was arrested and found guilty of stealing $71 in Good Humor ice cream bars. He was sentenced at the time t 5 years in prison. The ice cream bars were allegedly passed out to poor kids. The sentence was later overturned. It was only weeks before Fred Hampton was sent out with an apology.

He drew the attention of the Black Panther leaders in Oakland. They contacted him and told him his non-violent ways would not work. It was time to become a revolutionary. He armed several Blacks and himself and said that he had joined the Black Panther Party for the Defense of Blacks. The other group that saw his rise was the FBI under the watchful eye of J. Edgar Hoover.

Police harassed the Panthers in Chicago. He hired a bodyguard William O’Neal a friend. O’Neal was a FBI informant. He provided the Chicago Police with a floor plan of the Black Panther headquarters located at 2337 W Monroe with an X on the spot where Hampton’s bed was.

The building had been raided 3 times during 1969. The Police had arrested over 100 Panthers that year. Many of the arrests were faulty and the people were released.

The interior of the Building was plain. The walls were somewhat stained with age. They didn’t have fancy furniture. The floors were wood. Some through rugs lay upon the floors. Some of the Black Panthers lived there. Fred Hampton and his pregnant girlfriend Deborah Johnson lived there. Mark Clark and 4 others were staying there as well.

The FBI and Chicago Police saw the Panthers as a problem for America. Fred Hampton had become a national leader in the Black movement. He was a voice. The Panthers were armed and were a revolutionary movement. They acted under the watchful eye of the government.

The free programs they had enacted were an embarrassment to the Government. These Panthers were starting to look like a political power in the Black Power movement. Chicago youth breakfasts were started at public schools to counter the Panther move.

Then it happened. At 4:45 in the morning of December 4, 1969 the Chicago Police raided that building at 2337 W Monroe in Chicago. Several Panthers were wounded and Mark Clark and Fred Hampton were dead. Fred died in his bed unarmed. The Police stated that the Black Panthers opened fire on them as soon as they knocked on the door.

That morning I watched as the bodies were removed from the battle. Many others and I stood outside mourning the tremendous lose to the community. The Police were found innocent of any wrongdoing. They continued their lives. Fred and Mark’s lives were now just pages in the book of violence in America. They would be lost to the tales told by the victors.

Later the families sued the Chicago Police department in wrongful death charges. They sued for 47 million dollars. They were awarded large sums in an out of court settlement. Why would Chicago pay if this had been a justified shooting? Why would they pay off the families if the Police had conducted a legal raid against shooting Black Panthers?

In the aftermath after 1000’s of people walked through the building and saw the bullet holes in the walls and in the mattress where Hampton died there were questions. The biggest question was this: The ballistics reports showed that Chicago Police fired over 100 bullets. Most of those bullets went into Fred Hampton’s room. There was only one bullet fired by a gun owned by any of the Black Panthers.

How did the Police say that they walked into a flurry of one bullet? That does not make sense. The next election proved fatal to the politicians that had conducted the Police to raid the building. They were voted out of office. They were never to be heard from again.

The Black Panther movement did not last long. It was gone in July of 1977. Most people never even saw them disappear. The death of Hampton still stings. The death of Clark still stings. The mourning of those killed that morning in 1969 is a dark spot on the heart of America that can never be erased. Sleep well young soldiers. Remember the death of a revolutionary does not end the revolution. It only makes it more meaningful to those that recall.

They started more scoial programs then I can even remember. Some of those programs still exist. The after school care program they started is syill functional. They started shelters food pantry's, free breckfast programs that many large cities still have. The fund that was set up in Fred Hampton's name still donates to college tuition for the underpriveleged arcoss the country. They statred a school tutoring program. KKK how?

This is just testimony of how stupid the Democrats are.

The non aggression pact that was signed by all the gangs in Chicago was the best piece of work to that date to be accomplished to abeit gang violence. I don't think it has ever been equaled in it's scope. The gang violence dropped to nothing after it was signed. Gang members worked side by side in several of the programs. That gave them a reason outside of violence to exist. They had selfworth and could do something to change their neighborhoods.

The government has never tried any of the insightful things that Hampton did with gangs. They just run around and make things worse. The sense of doing and community was instilled by Hampton and the rest of the Panthers in Chicago.
