Default A Nuclear Iran

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080922/...u_nuclear_iran

" VIENNA, Austria - The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency warned Monday that he cannot determine whether Iran is hiding some nuclear activities, comments that appeared to reflect a high level of frustration with stonewalling of his investigators.

IAEA head Mohamed ElBaradei said Iran's stonewalling of his agency was a "serious concern."

"ran is halfway to a nuclear bomb, and Hizbullah, Hamas and Syria are using this period of relative calm to significantly rearm, Brig.-Gen. Yossi Baidatz, the Military Intelligence's head of research, told the cabinet Sunday during a particularly gloomy briefing on the threats facing the country."

Why are we exactly the ones to bemoan the fact that Iran is seeking a nuke? We have more than any other country. Do you hear them clamoring for us to disarm?

What should his position be in your view?

Iran has promised full cooporation with the IAEA if Israel will also submit to inspections. Now that sounds fair to me. So why aren't we pressing for Israel to submit to inspections?

Because they are our buddies and we trust them not to put them in the wrong hands. I can't say the same for the Iranians.

Because they are a democracy and therefore entitled to nukes. It is a double standard.

Also because they have not threatened to exterminate another nation.

The issue isn't whether or not Iran is permitted nuclear weapons.

The question is whether Obama is the man to manage that situation. He has not established his position, while McCain's is well known.

If we can have NUKES anyone else should be able to have them. If GWB can be trusted with them anyone can.

Do some research. Israel already put nuclear weapons in the hands of Apartheid South Africa. You really trust them not to give nuclear tech away to people we might not like?

It is for a lot of people. Case in point:

Quote:
If we can have NUKES anyone else should be able to have them.
Why? Explain why you believe everyone is entitled to nukes.

Yes.

And your statement is deceptive. There is no actual proof that they gave Nuclear weapons to South Africa.
