Default WHO is getting the money?

We are each being asked for $2,400.00 to bail out Wall Street.

Just who the hell is Wall Street?

What companies need this money?
Why are they failing all at once?
As the people being asked to give the loan, Don't we deserve to see the books?
Who are we writing the check to?
What happened in just a few weeks to the McCain fundamentally sound economy?
Are the CEO's who caused this being given one dime?
If you destroied your business do you deserve a bonus?
How can anyone in their right mind think is real and not just more of the Bush scare tactic politics?

If we give the loan we should just become a fully socialistic country and we all work for the government. We then are all working class people and there are no more bonues and big pay checks for failure.

The bankaccounts of all the Wealthy CEO's that caused this should be looted. They should have to put their money into the pot first.

It is time for the middle class to say no to the rich. Is it not just a bit funny that this happens just 40 days before the election that the Nazi Neocons are about to lose.

I want to see who the checks are going to. I want to see the books. We are the loan officers of the bank. Don't we deserve to know all the details and vote on 700 billion dollarsgoing to WHOM?

Fannie and Freddie, the current bailout is being used to buy bad loans that were initiated at a local level and then sold to these giants. This is a direct result of lenders lending to people who couldn't afford the loans and also borrowers who couldn't afford the loans they received.

Because they're one in the same really, they both bought the same bad loans expecting they weren't.

No. You probably wouldn't understand what you were looking at anyway.

It won't be a lump sum check, but the payments will be made in exchange for bad mortgages, so we aren't giving them something for nothing.

Many pieces to the economy are still doing well, but stuff like this can affect every other sector.

This is part of the provisions being ironed out, they likely get paid as usual, but I doubt we'll see any gigantic payouts or bonuses

Depends on whether that company entered into a contract with you gauranteeing you'd be paid X amount, if they did, then yes they should pay, if not, then no.

If you think this is fabricated you definitely have no reason or need to see their books.

This isn't a loan, we're buying something that actually has value and the feds could potentially make a buck on this. If at some point in the future they sell these to a real private sector, they'd certainly turn a profit which would benefit the tax payers. As for the socialistic nonsense, there are plenty of fringe groups that might see eye to eye with you but it's unlikely to become a reality here in the US anytime soon.

It was government that created these two giants and you want to blame the private sector? Bamboozling, these two entities were created during the greatest socialistic movement in the United States, the New Deal and now those chickens are coming home to roost.

Class warfare and wealth envy really aren't very flattering shades on you. =\

This decision aboslutely should not be made democratically, most people, like myself, dont' understand all the details well enough to make an informed decision.
