The act of 1995 that Clinton signed, could not have been signed by him in 1995 if the solidly republican controlled congress of that time, with Newt Gingrich in charge of, had not sent it to him.

Also, prior to 2006, Bush had the benefit of that republican controlled congress, mccain was also there at that time. It was republican controlled.

Get that through your head for once.

This whole mess is the fault of every democrat and republican since carter's time.

I urge my colleagues to support swift action on this GSE reform legislation.

This bill was shot down by the Democrats and some Republicans in Congress.

Whomever designed and sponsored this bill, agreed with it, allowed it, promoted it, pushed it and signed off on it should be made public for all of America to see who they are. I'd like to see them stripped of all financial power and wealth, and sent far away without a passport. At least remember they don't represent us, and should never have a public office again.
