I'm not a conservative, I'm a libertarian. I guess you could say I'm a true conservative, or economically conservative, but I am not the same as a Republican.

I believe in fiscal conservatism because I study history and economics and have seen great reasons for it to succeed far more than a controlled market.

I use reason and logic to come to my decisions.

I would say Democrats are delusional. They advocate the failed economic policies of socialist states. At least the free market has been proven to work (Places like Hong Kong, or China, where they are deregulating their economy). The controled market has been proven to fail (USSR, Cuba, Rome, etc.).
Maybe you don't know exactly what socialism is, that's really all I can think off. The old Soviet Union failed for the same reason we are failing - ideological managment, basically faith-based policies both domestic and foreign.

Another thing, FDR style "socialism" produced the American middle class, the envy and aspiration of the whole world.

I'll take the fact you couldn't come up with a better retort than to toss stones at Bush as proof positive your unqualified to manifest an intelligent or relevant response. Vietnam and Iraq has as much to do with this economic situation as eggplants have to do with the price of tea in China.

Consider yourself tuned out until you came scrape together a coherent response.

Sorry buddy, but the proof is in the pudding.

Pelosi foolishly adopted to support. The plan was whacked by a combination of extreme wings of each party; strange bedfellows indeed - Conservative Republicans and Liberal Democrats.

I as always bring honesty to the arguement so I say neither one party and but both parties are to blame.

No, it was caused by an absence of incentive to compete and produce good products. The soviet union was an economic disaster just because of economic problems. Faith had nothing to do with it.

No. World War II produced the American middle-class. As much as hippies and liberals would like to deny it, large-scale war is good for the economy. The middle-class would have formed without FDR. It existed before, and it would have existed after. You will notice that the divide between rich and poor was significantly smaller before the government started messing with the economy. If anything, government involvement in the economy has contributed to extreme wealth and extreme poverty, rather than diminish it.
