The Enemy in Iraq

People in the US and abroad have to understand what is happening in Iraq. We are not fighting a country-wide uprising, Iraq is not in chaos, and there is no Civil War. We are fighting terrorists.
And, like all terrorists, they are cowardly. They hide in civilian houses, wear civilian garb and shoot at us. They hide snipers in untouchable mosques. They intentionally kill the civilian population, and feel no remorse at killing children. If these monsters think that they will win a war by dying, then this is their war. The United States is winning. Make no mistake.
The US, can and will win in Iraq. This is not even an option. As Patent said, "The US cannot and will not ever lose a war. The very thought of losing is hateful to Americans. "We "lost" in Vietnam, thanks to the hippies. That is the first and last war we lost. We shall not stop in Iraq until the terrorists are dead or gone. That is their choice. The United States did not unseat a dictator, win a war, rebuild a nation, and show the world how tough we are, just to run from a rabble. Make no mistake, with our current commander in chief, the United States will not lose. Vote Bush 2004.

If China decided to invade the US and rid us of our evil democracy and evil christianity, do you think everyone would just let it happen ? or do you think many would take shots at the chinese military from hiding places and anyplace else they could ?

MinorsForBush, I dont see your point. Clearly they're not cowards because they attacking the troops in huge numbers each day. Thats not cowardice.

Second, you gotta be kiddin if you think America lost vietnam thanks to the hippies.

And third, please explain exactly this war will be won under Bush and not someone else. You're just throwing out generalities. You should argue something not just state random stuff.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to go after the terrorists who, you know, attacked us? Wouldn't it have made more sense to focus on Afghanistan and make it a model for democracy and freedom in the Middle East instead of screwing up, letting the terrorists create more anti-Americanism than ever before.

We still haven't rebuilt any nations or won any wars.

Yeah, because increasing terror-related deaths are a sure sign of winning the war on terror.

1. I have never heard that quote before, and I should have probably run into it while studying the Cold War. A google of that quote only showed your precious Conservative Journal as the only result. (a quite shoddy looking site might I add)
2. Who is this Patent and why is he so (falsely) certain that the US is forever infallible?
3. Do you mean Patton by some chance? It sounds like a Patton thing to say. He was sure in '45 that he could have driven the experienced and heavily armed Red Army back to the Kremlin with his few American troops.

Um... Typo. It was supposed to be by Patton. It was in his standard stump sppech to his troops. See the beggining of the movie "Patton"
