I'm getting confused about what you think is his PERCEPTION vs what you claim he WANTS. All you've talked about is what you're "sure" he wants. "Perception" is one's assessment of things as they are, as opposed to what one wishes.

What UBL wants: By all means, I'm sure that UBL hates Bush and wants to see him toppled. He wants easier game in that office, someone who will let him accomplish his goals without resisting.

What he perceives: Kerry is the person who will let him accomplish his goals in the middle east without resisting them.

Reasonable assumptions. But there is no evidence that he thinks either candidate would "let him accomplish his goals without resisting", nor is there any evidence that either candidate would in fact do that.

He has not said that, nor does UBL have any reason to believe that.
