Default However, this is a digression from the topic of the thread.

Should you wish to discuss what you believe should be done in America's criminal justice system, that's probably better served by a different discussion on a different thread.

I posted this thread specifically to dispell the persistent claim, from the left, that nothing is being done to fight terrorism in the U.S. That claim is incorrect and non-factual.

So, headless, are you suggesting that what the U.S. needs to do is build more prisons?
Don't build prisons, just make most of Alaska a prison colony. We should do away with the death penalty and replace it with a punishment FAR worse than death.

No. How is that going to reduce crime. First of all i'd do away with paying for bail, secondly i'd spend money on simply putting more policeman on the streets , getting rid of moral laws that don't affect anyone but the individual (drugs, suicide etc.) which would free up the police for real crimes and stopping the campaign of fear by the media to make people more trusting. Also i'd make sure everyone had a job and that youths have something to do, which i feel would be the most dramatic cut of crime of all.

The justice system i could complain about all day. Not just what were talking about now but how cases are processed, how a person is deemed guilty, the role of judges etc.

If you want to change threads start a new one. I'll find it eventually.
