U.S. tracking down 400,000 fugitives

PHOENIX, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Immigration officials across the United States are aggressively tracking down illegal immigrants who have disobeyed orders to leave the country.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement has deployed 80 agents assigned to "fugitive operations teams" in 16 cities to find 400,000 fugitive immigrants in the United States, 80,000 of whom were ordered to leave the country after criminal convictions, the Arizona Republic reported.

Gosh...I sure am glad that Bush is acting on such an important issue with such alacrity.

I mean, those 80 guys should be able to find 400,000 criminals, huh?

All the 80 guys have to do is isolate the individual on a computer screen and then "Smart Bombs" take over!!!

Land mines were made exactly for this kind of scenario. I'd like to see land mines laid along our border for at least a mile deep. I dn't think you could come up with a more effective deterrent.

Mine Fields present a serious logistical problem for anyone wanting to cross one and don't require an army standing by to keep things under control. You can also post - DANGER - LAND MINES - DO NOT ENTER - signs every 100 ft across the border. There is nothing wrong with using WELL MARKED minefields for border protection in either military or immigration control applications. Mines don't just go out and attack people and when everyone knows where they are then they are totally safe unless they enter it.

Don't want to die or lose your legs? Don't play in the mine field!!!!
