Though I'm sure this will provoke a lot of comments along the lines of "how could anyone regulate this - it's their own fault if they get hurt!" this reminds me of the SNL sketch about Acme's "Bag O' Glass" and "Johnny Switchblade."

Its not so much a regulatory issue as a free speech issue. The stuff in question has already been regulated. Now it is a question of an organized group exercising their right to free speech and saying that a group of toys is unsafe.

I admit its a funny situation... i can already think of 3 types of lawsuits one type of extortion that could arrise from this situation.
