and European nations interfering in Ukraine politics. President Bush warns that the world is watching. Russia and the KGB thug has overtly interfered in the Ukraine election all along. Why do we in the U.S. and E.U. care ? Because this shows the treachery of Putin's Russia. Putin who rules Russia with shadowy oligarchs has been trying to put the Russian empire back together again. Ukraine a country of 49 million with solid natural resources and industry was a cornerstone captive country in the Soviet days. Poland a NATO country has a sizable boarder with Ukraine. If we allow Russia to interfere with Ukraine will allow Russia to interfere with Poland next ?
Ronald Reagan was been credited with knocking down the Soviet Empire but will president Bush have the guts to cut the head of the evil snake Russia before it acts as an anaconda and starts to swallow up it's neighbors again ? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6374820/ Ukraine is not some Chechnya sized country and it had actually existed as a country before Russia evolved so we cannot allow this monster Godzilla predatory state of Russia to control Ukraine. Remember when a rogue Chechen group of terrorists killed the children from Russia and the entire world felt sorry for the Russians ? Even though I was horrified by that Chechnya act of terror I posted here that it was just one example of "Chechyans acting like Russians." Believe me people Russia is just a more sophisticated technologically more advanced terrorist state as compared to Chechnya. They are again capable of terror against their neighbors. Interfere in an independent country's elections today, and if unchecked will it be an invasion tomorrow? Killing students the week after ? It happened before ? Yes Mr. Bush you absolutely correct. The world should be watching the crises in Ukraine and it well must to prevent a monster from being regenerating. |

You know, the stark contrast between the Yuschenko Western supporters and those in the East is striking, almost like, I imagine, East and West Germany. Those in the West seem younger, forward-thinking, more optimistic, while those in the East seem very old, dark, cold, ahh, Russian in nature.
Godspeed to the Yuschenko forces. Please do freedom proud.

Mother Russia wants the territory it once controlled. Russia is weak. They relied on the resources of the states around them during the Cold War, they no longer have that. And since a good number of Russians still live in Ukraine, and the Ukraine is economically developed, it is no surprise that Russia wants to control Ukraine once again.

True also that a lot of Russians live in Ukraine because Stalin moved them to Ukraine after he initiated the forced famine of the 1930's when 6- 8 million Ukrainians and others starved to death. SADLY many Estern Ukrainians have forgotten that fact. I don't notice the Chechens forgetting too much of what the Russians did to them. Must be the price Ukrainians pay for being too civilized. |
