President Lincoln would be proud to watch over the first black president ever sworn in with his bible. What a great beginning, what great leadership the US will see under President Obama.

Should use Thomas Jefferson's cut&pasted version of the bible instead... that would've had the far-right x'ians gnashing their teeth and freakin out.

And this, from my point of view, is not a criticism of either man.

I hate to be cynical but I hope that B.O. is not having some thoughts that he is anything even near the stature or importance of Lincoln. I hope that B.O. is using the Lincoln Bible for the best of reasons such as that the fact that it was under the watch of the Great Log Splitter and Emancipator that Obama’s wife’s forbearers gained “freedom” from that peculiar institution.

Well at least the the racists on this Forum should not object to the use of Lincoln's Bible by B.O. since the racist see Good Ol Abe as a traitor and restorer of the Union and the American nation.

What I do wonder is how the RNC Koolaid drinkers are taking this Lincoln Bible thing. A Democrat honoring the first of the best known Real Republicans !!

Actually I think a lot of racists like Lincoln because his last course of action, which wasn't put in to play because he was assassinated, was to deport all blacks from the United States. That's what I've heard at least.

I had read that the bearded Log Splitter was not fond of the Colored and he found them to be a nusance and he did not believe that would, could, or should ever intergrate into the American society. As far as the deprtation angle I thought that to be rumor but I can be wrong, I was wrong once !!!
