Right. He's an editor. He decides what is news and what is not news.

Again-----meaning Fox News most likely had no idea of his background. Since liberals/Democrats now suddenly seem to be so OUTRAGED over this.....I'd like to take the opportunity to ask you all to JOIN those of us who have for a long time sought STRICTER laws on open records and NOT protecting these sleazebags. So, will you join us now and demand it from your legislators?

Can we now make laws where someone who did this in college, doesn't get a freebie? That it's on their record for LIFE? That it's in some kind of searchable Database?

What say you Dems? On board now?
So Fox news didn't know, but the other news services know?

What does that tell you about how in depth Fox is?

Well, we really need to know more about what happened her on his first arrest. We know he was kicked out of college. But was the arrest wiped off his record? Was the FBI allowed to place him in a database for child pornographers? Did he get it ajudicated because it was a first offense?

I'm supportive of no freebies for people like this. And I'm supportive of their names and information of their arrest going into a database that can be searched publically? Are you?

Depends. If someone is going to hire you, do you think they search databases to see if you've ever been arrested for child pornography? What about if you were in college when it happened and it got legally expunged? Are you supportive of such a database being set up for the public to use?

An allegation I never made, so you can wait all you like.

Default How hypocritical of you

So----ThinkForMyself----how did you feel about this CNN reporter's arrest last year????? And where's the thread you began on THIS one???? Let's hear your rants blasting CNN for NOT knowing about this guy they hired!!!

This arrest was last April of 2008.
"CNN personality Richard Quest was busted in Central Park early yesterday with some drugs in his pocket, a rope around his neck that was tied to his genitals, and a sex toy in his boot, law-enforcement sources said.
Quest, 46, was arrested at around 3:40 a.m. after a cop spotted him and another man inside the park near 64th Street, a police source said. Quest was initially busted for loitering, the source said. Aside from the oddly configured rope, the search also turned up a sex toy inside of his boot, and a small bag of methamphetamine in his left jacket pocket.
"On his official CNN bio, the network calls him “one of the most instantly recognizable members of the CNN team.”

I say I am glad he was caught. Some glaring differences though.

He was not exploiting children, he was only harming himself.

You did not show if he has previously been arrested for this type of behavior. If he has, I would say CNN is as equally stupid as Fox is for hiring this clown.

Now, did you honestly think I would defend idiocy?

After making your excuses, no.

I do think that you're mostly interested in blasting Fox and any Republican for wrongdoing, but not Democrats or liberal organizations. I have no dout that had your thread pertained to MSNBC or CNN, you would NOT even have started a thread on it. And your insenuation that Fox knew, but hired him anyway, or was negligent in hiring him, was quite ridiculous and hypocritical.

But the Dems on here haven't answered my questions. What about a public database on child pornographers.....even first offenses from when someone was in college? I'm all for it; are you?

Are you willing, like me, to really crack down on these people legally?

And that would be incorrect. I simply find it amusing that so many on the right wing find Fox to be the absolute final word on everything and then they show up to defend Fox for this idiocy.

If they are convicted of it, I have no issue with that. Families that live in the same neighborhood as someone that has been convicted of exploiting children absolutely should know.
