Default 60th Anniversary of Auschwitz Liberation

......And it was a no-show for all but one Arab leader. Jordan is the only Arab nation that sent a leader to honor these victims and celebrate the liberation of that death camp. Shame on them.....

BRZEZINKA, Poland (AP) - As candles flickered in the snowy, winter gloom, world leaders and Auschwitz survivors Thursday remembered victims of the Holocaust on the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi death camp.
http://apnews1.iwon.com//article/200...D87SGB5G0.html

"But there were signs of division and clear evidence that much of the Arab world was not participating. The General Assembly auditorium was less than half full even for the start of the commemoration, while just one Middle East country — Jordan — was scheduled to deliver a speech commemorating the liberation of the camps."

Default I think it's safe to say

that the prisoners of the camps will view it as a liberation and not an invasion. But you go ahead and view it as an invasion. It speaks to which side of the ideological fence you sit on.

Default It was the entire Coalition

If you're talking about who opened the doors on that date of January 27, 1945.....it was the Soviets. But if you're talking about who enabled the people at the death camp to be liberated.....it was the entire Coalition....the entire War that brought it to that point.

Default Putin

We all thank the Russians.

I like how Putin took the opportunity to compare the fascists of that time period to the terrorists of today....saying that just as there was no "good and bad" fascists....there are no "good and bad" terrorists today.

Default sorry, over your head - poking fun at EuP

"that the prisoners of the camps will view it as a liberation and not an invasion."

Of course it was a LIBERATION - EuP has posted several times that America INVADED during WWII.

Default I think we should all take note of the Middle East

If those leaders can't even come to the table to help celebrate an occasion as important as this, there is going to be more trouble. As long as the Middle Eastern Nations and it's leaders oppose the existence of Jews there will never be peace in this world. It is time for the rest of the world to come to the table and let these nations know that this is not acceptable.
