Default Iraq Troop Withdrawal Update....OOppss

Well here we go with the latest line from Obama-saviour. Now there might be two combat brigades(5000 troops) leaving Iraq by the end of the year, not the one or two brigades that he had promised to get suckers to vote for him. No more 16 months to get out of Iraq either, who believed in change? WHo thought the war in Iraq was crippling our economy? WHo said they would set the mission and the generals would get their mission from the President?

It truly saddens me that our young men and women of the Armed Forces believed this POS when he stood before them and LIED to their faces. I can only hope the worst for him as he is a POS with no Code or Honor.

WHo voted for him because he was ending the occupation of Iraq? Squirm.
First his words back in the day...

Then the latest story from BBC that was released about 7 hours ago.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7914061.stm

I won this bet, wanna wager that there will be wide spread violence preventing our people from leaving Iraq during the December Elections??

Default This kind of thing will get you put on "ignore", if you aren't already...

Where are all the adoring Obamanites now? Where are you hiding? Where are all the indignant, angry cries of "Get out of Iraq -- NOW!" The Associated Press reports this morning in a story by Anne Flaherty (not some right-wing nut case website) that even after Obama makes all the troop withdrawals from Iraq, he's going to leave somewhere between 35,000 and 50,000 of them there!

The same story said that Gen. Petraeus and Gen. Odierno (top commander in Baghdad) support the number of 50,000, just being left there, even after the Iraqis have made it crystal-clear they want us the hell out of there! And, according to his fading campaign "promises", so did Obama....

Well, how about it, Obama-worshippers?! Where are you? Why aren't you carrying torches and pitchforks in the street? Why aren't you hanging Obama in effigy this morning? Go ahead -- put anybody on "ignore" who troubles you with the truth, but the planes will continue to arrive from Iraq, and Afghanistan, with the bodies of dead American soldiers. And now, and going forward, it's all YOUR FAULT, and the fault of this LIAR you've elected as President! Ah, but he can "talk", and you love him, don't you....

I knew that was a load of horse crap when I first saw it. He might see a hypothetical rate of withdrawal, but when it comes right down to it, he is trying to maintain security and get as many people out as possible. New considerations- new office. Other than that- who cares? I didn't vote for him for this reason, I voted for him for others.

YouTube - Barack Obama did NOT flip-flop on original Iraq position

Then the latest story from BBC that was released about 7 hours ago.

Once again Obama is guilty of flip-flopping , thrown his 16 month U.S. troop with drawl time line under the bus and if rhetorical gymnastics were a olympic event, Obama would have swept gold medals.

Here are Obama's flip-flop statements on Iraq war, troop with drawl time line from his speeches:

Quote:
1. Nov. 12, 2004: "Once we go in, then we're committed, Once the decision was made, then we've got to do everything we can to stabilize the country, to make it successful, because well have too much at stake in the Middle East. And that's the position that I continue to take."

2. In "The Audacity of Hope" (2006), Obama wrote that "how quickly a complete withdrawal can be accomplished is a matter of imperfect judgment based on a series of best guesses."

3. June 9, 2006: "But having visited Iraq, I’m also acutely aware that a precipitous withdrawal of our troops, driven by Congressional edict rather than the realities on the ground, will not undo the mistakes made by this Administration. It could compound them. It could compound them by plunging Iraq into an even deeper and, perhaps, irreparable crisis.
We must exit Iraq, but not in a way that leaves behind a security vacuum filled with terrorism, chaos, ethnic cleansing and genocide that could engulf large swaths of the Middle East and endanger America. We have both moral and national security reasons to manage our exit in a responsible way."

4. March 3, 2007: " That is why I advocate a phased redeployment of U.S. troops out of Iraq to begin no later than May first with the goal of removing all combat forces from Iraq by March 2008. . . .My plan also allows for a limited number of U.S. troops to remain and prevent Iraq from becoming a haven for international terrorism and reduce the risk of all-out chaos. In addition, we will redeploy our troops to other locations in the region, reassuring our allies that we will stay engaged in the Middle East

5. Sept 12, 2007 "The best way to protect our security and to pressure Iraq's leaders to resolve their civil war is to immediately begin to remove our combat troops. Not in six months or one year — now,"

6. Dec 17, 2007: "My position is still a staged withdrawal requiring 18 to 20 months"

7. Feb 19, 2008: "I will end the war in 2009, my first year as your president"

8. Feb 27, 2008: ". . .immediately begin withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq at a rate of one to two brigades a month for sixteen months, taking soldiers out of "secure" areas first, and "volatile" areas last."

9. March 19, 2008: I will consult with the generals, the military experts on the ground to establish a timetable for withdrawal."

10. And the latest...made June 4 in his AIPAC speech: "I have proposed a responsible, phased redeployment of our troops from Iraq. We will get out as carefully as we were careless getting in. We will finally pressure Iraq's leaders to take meaningful responsibility for their own future." and"My plan also allows for a limited number of U.S. troops to remain and prevent Iraq from becoming a haven for international terrorism and reduce the risk of all-out chaos."

Truth can be a terribly annoying thing when it gets in the way of rhetoric, I guess.
A "residual force"? Come on, Jovial -- this latest Obama trick is complete nonsense! He's going to leave a THIRD of the soldiers in Iraq, and send who knows how many more thousands into the meatgrinder of Afghanistan. The Iraqis want us OUT! We Conservatives want us OUT! Now, how can Liberals approve of Obama's deceitful stupidity concerning something so central to his campaign promises as getting out of Iraq?

I know we disagree in a very spirited way, and at least you are one member of the liberal Left who doesn't hide behind an "ignore" screen. I respect you for that, and I'd also say that you and I, and many, many true Conservatives and Liberals alike have hated and despised this whole stinking Iraq war. But how in the world can Liberals, who were callling for Bush's head on a platter because of Iraq, defend Obama dragging the withdrawal process into well over a year from now -- and then, when August 2010 finally comes, LEAVING A THIRD OF THE SOLDIERS THERE!? No, Jovial. This cuts all the way to the bedrock of what Obama has stood for and campaigned for. The man is a liar, and, just as we are seeing in his "handling" of the economy, it is HE who is being handled! He's being manipulated by nearly everyone and, frankly, he's entirely out of his depth!

Since the Libs do not want to speak up on this or the other posts on the topic, I am left to assume that they are just so happy to have Bush and the Reps out of power that they will tolerate ANYTHING from their god Obama.

I am just waiting for some terrorist to come forward saying he was tortured in some foreign prison under the rendition that Obama extended so Pelosi can call for war crimes against him.

The important factor to me in the scope of withdrawal is that we now have a CIC who isn't dragging his heels getting us out of Iraq. As for this residual force, they will be protecting our interests there as a worse case scenario in case something doesn't go as planned when we pull out. I don't have a problem with this plan so far.

Bush set the wheels in motion for this before he left so Obama is cleaning up the mess.

I think he is dragging his heels , I do not believe we should leave today but I know what he had lead people to believe during his campaign , it will be years before we leave , I bet 10,000 credits will be in Iraq and Obama will be out of office , any takers??

Let the justifications for Obama's flip-flop begin! When all else fails... blame Bush!

Obama is protecting our interests? OMG... Obama was against us even going into Iraq, so now another flip-flop according to you.

What he lead others to believe is of no concern to me because having had 2 sons over there I was well aware of what hurdles we faced.
