CNN beclowns itself

Quote:
So, the Tea Party protests are “not fit for family viewing” according to one very unhappy CNN reporter, Susan Roesgen, who also fumes over what she calls an “offensive” anti-Obama sign that compares Obama to a fascist. (And yes, I told you this was going to happen.)

But guess what? Newsbusters caught the same indignantly indignant Susan Roesgen covering an anti-Bush rally in New Orleans in which she blithely refers to a huge Bush puppet with horns and a Hitler mustache as a “lookalike.”
Here's the Newsbusters report:
President Bush "Look-Alike" a Cross Between Satan and Hitler?

I get a kick out of all this whining about "media bias", considering these silly little tea parties are a direct product thereof. If not for the radio demagogues and fox news prompting the dittoheads to action, who would be teabagging at all?

I love how Fox News is such a lightning rod for the left. One cable channel that's not left biased just brings out the intolerance of the celebrated "tolerant" left. I'd love to see a channel that's actually as far right as MSNBC or CNN are left. You'd all be apopleptic instead of just foaming at the mouth.

LONG LIVE FOX NEWS!!

I heartily agree with you about media bias. Of course, I don't really see a lot of "responsible journalism" from the right either, so it's not just a liberal thing...

Journalists have biases, and those biases influence their work. That's not new. If the right wants to succeed, then they're going to need to work on improving their image, instead of complaining about media bias, which will never change. In the meantime, CNN just (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)-slapped the right with a video that that makes them appear to be not so nice guys.

Is the right going to do anything about it?
Really? I didn't see it that way, what I saw was a desperate wanna-be journalist trying to downplay something she obviously didn't agree with and making herself and the station she works for look like buffoons. She was more than partisan, because she filed this report when Bush was in office where she supported the protester's right to free speech.

That would be hatetalk radio. They mostly seethe, then occasionally call. But it's usually suck blather and wheel spinning, it gets tiring.

The "right" is right, on this matter, obviously.
The reporter was biased, no doubt, but on the same token the gentleman who accused Obama of being a Fascist couldn't even give concrete reasons as to what made Obama one.

It smacks of what many people see as a blind following for people like Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin etc... where these people sling terms like Fascism, Socialism, etc... and then their listeners key into those words, without any understanding as to why they apply in the first place.

Some of you hard core righties are blaming the electorate for being sheep in the election of Obama, but the reality is there are just as many sheep on both sides of the aisle.

This is one of the dangers of making politics so entertaining, from John Stewart to Rush Limbaugh.

I get some chuckles from Limbaugh at times, he is entertaining, (gasp... I do listen to these guys!) Hannity can be to. But I do notice a disturbing trend, they repeat the same thing over and over and over again, like brainwashing. Hannity is worse than Limbuagh is. But I see the same thing on MSNBC, the constant repetition of the same message over and over again...

The reality is, no network is truly "Fair and Balanced"

They all have an agenda, and I wish they would as least be forthcoming and honest about it.

The guy was clearly an ignoramus, but that doesn't excuse the behavior of the reporter. You can pretty much go to ny group of people and find a few who may not be the brightest people in the bunch, but he/she isn't always representative of the said group.

This reporter just wanted her opinion to be heard and really didn't care about what others had to say. She just cut off the other guy who was actually attempting to give an answer. She had an agenda, and it was very clear as to what that was. Bla is right...she was there to counter protest the events, not to report on them.

The best we can say about folks who watch any of these networks is that they are at least making an attempt to become informed. What bothers me is the voters who were "recruited" by ACORN because they can breathe and are old enough to vote...what percentage of those voters are informed? The Democratic party is notorious for getting out the vote to uninformed and irresponsible voters.
