Default Pope

John Paul, like others in the tradition received a hammer blow to the back of the head, this the catholic church does to make absolutely sure their popes are dead. (Wrong. According to the medieval tradition it is three small taps to the forehead with a tiny silver hammer.) Naturally if by some freak of science he wasn't dead when a new pope was named, then that would mean there would be two Representatives of god on earth. (Wrong. If the first Pope "woke up" after the hammer taps there would be no need for a conclave because he wouldn't be dead and therefore there would be no need to elect another Pope.)
