No, my point is, I didn't slam Bush. And neither did anyone (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing about BHO on this thread.

Bush spent considerable time in Maine, Texas, Camp David and DC.

How much do you think it costs to maintain four offices?

Date night and a long weekend in Chicago is looking cheaper and cheaper.

You didnt slam Bush, in order to deflect away from Obama on this? Yeah right.

Would you like me to re-quote you on that?

Good lord

Obama lives in Chicago. I don't have any issue with a guy going home for a night, a week or a month. At every presidential residence there's a working office.

"Camp David", proper name Naval Support Facility Thurmont is a military facility.

BO has been there already, BTW.

It's not an office opened for W, it's been there since 1935. Ironically, it was built as a camp for federal government agents by another profligate socialist...FDR

Bush's parents own a house in Maine, not W. But I don't have an issue with a president taking a vacation whereever he chooses.

I do have an issue with a guy telling everyone we're going to have to sacrifice, then jetting off for a six figure one nighter "date night" on the peoples dollar. It's just plain hypocritical. He did it the same week he took over a private company with tax dollars, then laid off 20,000 workers and closed about a dozen facilities.

Remember his outrage when Detroit execs took a company jet to DC for business?

And so, ONCE AGAIN, for about the ten-millionth time, we see that the Obamanite worshippers cannot countenance criticism of their president, who is OH SO superior to ordinary (ick!) politicians without having to drag in the ghost of George Bush.

If Obama is OH SO superior to Bush, then, assuming all you say is true -- WHY DOES OBAMA GO ON DOING THE SAME THINGS!

Except for the wonderful service he did the country by liberating stem-cell research, I haven't seen anything he's done that's either better than Bush, or, different from Bush! But he's supposed to be OH SO much more intelligent, empathetic, and "in touch" with the poor, struggling, suffering masses. What a complete and utter pant-load this empty-suit is!

How about some quotes from Obama that said we have to sacrifice, sacrifice what?

PS We've already been through CEO's looking for bailouts spending on the taxpayers dime, that's a bit different.

I didn't slam Bush (and neither did you I suspect) regarding personal travel spending (even though he did a lot more of it per day than BHO) until BHO went to see a play.

Bush's travel spending was among the least of our problems then just as BHO's is now. It's just a very stupid thing for very stupid people to pick up on to try to make either of them look as bad as possible.

And it's evidence that some are looking for reasons to hate BHO just because he's BHO. If travel spending is a fundamental problem, then why didn't these people b(*)(*)ch until it was BHO traveling?

If BHO was taking 27% of his time off on vacation, I'd be as pissed at him for that as I was at Bush (which was a fairly moderate amount of pissed, relative to other, more important things I was pissed about).

Obama urges shared sacrifice for economic recovery

WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama promised a nation shuddering in economic crisis Tuesday night that he would lead it from a dire "day of reckoning" to a brighter future, summoning politicians and public alike to shoulder responsibility for hard choices and shared sacrifice.

But you see, you didn't have a problem with the very same thing when it was Bush doing it, MORE.

I didn't really have a substantial problem with either one of them doing it.

I just have a problem with hypocrites.
