Climate change — it happens, with or without our help.

There is too much controversy on global warming to justify making huge spending bills to curb it. Would I believe a scientist that works for Exxon, well no? But that is the same reason I don’t believe a scientist that is getting his funds from a pro stance either.

Like I said before you have to prove without a shadow of doubt……..
We were not discussing manmade climate change. You linked to a 12 year old article that stated that there was no warming trend. The same author of the 12 year old article now stated that the earth has warmed. So the 12 year old article is out of date. Once you acknowledge that the earth is warming we can discuss Spencer's incorrect conclusions that "we do not have enough accurate global data for a long enough period of time to see whether there are natural warming mechanisms at work."

For someone talking about right wing news sources, very convenient that you use a very left wing news source. Bring some unbiased news source next time………….
LOL. Very funny, sary. Your link is to a paper from the year 1997. Just a few posts earlier in post #41, I showed you the info on three scientific studies published in the journal Science in 2005 that found the error in the way the satellite data was being interpreted and showed that the troposphere was, in fact, warming. You obviously don't bother reading the actual scientific research on this even when it's shown to you and you don't even seem to look too closely at the pseudo-science, misinformation, propaganda and lies that you pick up off the blogs and then post here.

All you're bringing to the table are old, long discredited and debunked AGW denier cult myths. If you took the time to check up on the material you're finding on denier cult blogs or hearing from Rush, you'd find that has no basis in reality or current scientific understanding of this phenomena.

What is it with the right and thinking everything is either A or B... Either natural forces cause climate change or humans do. Either you support Bush or you hate everything he says he represents. Either you believe in god or you have no moral standards at all. Either you believe that we should let corporations run wild or you are a communist. Either you support every thing America has ever done or you hate America. Either no muslim is a terrorist or they all are. Either no Christian is righteous or they all are. If Christians are good, non Christians must be bad. If some wealthy people work hard, poor people must not.

The real world is usually grey. So this whole black and white mentality just renders you incapable of understanding what is happening around you much of the time. The world is not just a progression of simple diametrical opposites. Everything is complicated, everything has multiple causes, every belief system has at least some positive and at least some negatives, people of every type have some good and some bad about them, etc...

This is an excellent example. The people on the left are arguing that, although there are natural factors that affect climate, there are ALSO man made factors. And the people on the right just keep coming back saying 'there are natural factors that affect the climate'... It makes no sense at all... There is no reason that proving that the climate can change for natural reasons undermines the global warming argument in any way unless you just arbitrarily assume that only one thing can cause climate change... And there is no reason to think only one thing can cause climate change unless you just lack the intellectual ability to understand a more complex system.

It might work out better for you if you could buy a brain.
