The new mayor of London has just cancelled an arrangement where Venezuela was going to subsidize part of the fuel costs of the London Bus system in exchange for some bus expertise going to Venezuela. Just Bizarre!

Even I could not imagine how stupid Red Ken and his socialists can be! Imagine that, London, taking subsidies from a third world country to help the richest country in Europe. Has He no pride.

I disagree with everything you just said very strongly.

If the wealthiest nation in the world can't eliminate child poverty, then defense is counterproductive, because it's protecting a system that needs to be adjusted.

If you really think that people in America would rather children starve, then I think you're the opposite of a patriot. You describe an America not worth fighting for.

You are using a relative definition. "Poverty" in the US is not the same as "poverty" elsewhere. The US has welfare programs in place that ensure that no child starves, or doesnt have housing or doesnt have education. If you have an example to the contrary, post it.

You will need to define "poverty" in this context. Not haveing an X-Box or PS-3 doesnt = poverty.

If anything the roblem in America is that children eat too much, not that they dont eat enough. This isnt the 1920s.
