but it's just that I have known, worked with and hired so many Mexicans over the years, and have so much honor and respect for their hard work ethic and honesty. I really do. I've been told that for some reason, most of the Mexican illegals in Texas seem to come from different parts of Mexico and Central America than those in Arizona and California, and this accounts for a typically different quality of Mexican immigrant. I don't know. I simply confess to having a soft spot for the Mexicans I've known for so many years. They are all very fine people. They work hard, raise families, and while I don't know if they file an income tax, they certainly pay State sales and local property taxes.

Theyre also very proud to be living in this country.
Another way to help stop illegal immigration is to help fix the Mexican economy, and help the peasants that were screwed by NAFTA. If they have decent lives where they live, they wont have as much desperation to come to the states. One way or another, these people deserve a better life, and less hatred thrown at them by ignorant people who dont think about what their lives must be like. Theyre no different than us. They were just born into a different social and political caste syste,, one that is not as forgiving as ours. |

That provided more better paying jobs than before it. The Mexicans need to help their own economy. The US has done plenty to help, they need to help themselves and removing corruption and cracking down on crime is a nice start. No one hates them, they just shouldn't be allowed to come into the US by the millions as they see fit.
