My My... All I can say is that I have been yelling at the rafters about this question for years... and the word I have been screaming is Wahabism.

I do not want it "banned", I want all wahabi schools burned to the ground. I want all proponents of Wahabism murdered in the streets until the gutters run red... and i want moderate muslims to do it.

I wrote a blog entry a while back that said exactly this... The moderate muslims need to exorcise their religion's demons.

And for the record... I would line up the people who would bomb abortion clinics or attack gays or kill abortion doctors or blow up government buildings because of their christian beliefs right beside the wahabists.

Zealots cannot be reasoned with... They can only be exterminated. Hopefully "Knights Templar" style.

Saudi Arabia and the vile House of Saud are the biggest supporters of Wahabism. They are on my list.

(And yes, I reread Sun Tzu... last week in fact.. and the best way to defeat your enemy is to know your enemy.)

Knowing that helps.

Luckily, the "mousetrap" in Iraq is working, and we are slaughtering those young, crazed wahabists by the tens of thousands with "minimal" casualities. Every young saudi that straps a bomb on his ass and strolls into the green zone for a meeting with a sniper bullet... is one less madman who will spread his seed.

Extermination of the Wahabists is what this fight is all about.... Do not think for one minute that the military and civilian population of the Middle East could not cast out the "Great Satan" in one day if they so wanted.

To me, until that day comes to pass, SOMEBODY over there wants us there doing the job we are doing.

Not quite. Remember, you must also know yourself. I'm not into the martial arts, but isn't that a foundation there too?

I thought you might be one to read the great work. Hope you enjoyed it. It sometimes takes a little thought, but didn't you find it contained several obvious (you'd think) strategic truths? But maybe it's like common sense: it ain't that common.

If nothing else, it's a great way to freak people out in the middle of boring meetings.

Sun Tzu also say, "If your enemy is greedy, buy him". It would make sence that the Chinese have studied the book carefully. Alas, Rummy and Cheney have not had it on their reading list.

Several of the lessons concern strategies on allowing/encouraging the enemy to essentially beat himself.

Again, I've never studied the martial arts. But from talking to my cousin, some of that training involves using an opponent's superior weight and size against him.

Economically, the Chinese are playing us like a fiddle, IMO. Their banking system is young, weak and incredibly inefficient. Yet, we're making it SO easy for them. If that's what they're doing, I wish they'd stop reading The Art of War.

Too true LoSco! Sun Tzu's teachings transcend their subject matter.

I also recommend checking out THe Book of Five Rings by Miyamoto Musashi. Reads like poetry but there is an amazing current underneath the prose.

A sample quote...

"A COMMANDER KNOWING SOLDIERS"
"A commander knowing soldiers" s a method always practiced in times of conflict after having reached the mastery to which one aspires. Having attained the power in the knowledge of the arts of war, you think of your adversaries as your own soldiers, understanding that you should do with them as you wish, intending to mainpulate them freely. You are the commander, the opponents are the troops. This takes work.

And catz, i stopped writing in it... I was becoming too partisan in my rants.. However, I am contemplating diving back into the blogosphere! When I do, you shall be both the first and the cutest to know.
