Looks like both Senator John McCain and Gov. Pataki are getting ready.
Dear Hillary won't have a chance against either one of them...IMHO. "NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York Republican Gov. George Pataki on Wednesday said he would not seek a fourth term, clearing the way for an expected run for the White House." http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...ccain_politics "WASHINGTON - Sen. John McCain, often mentioned as a possible GOP presidential candidate in 2008, has reactivated his political action committee, known as Straight Talk America." http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor..._nm/newyork_dc

McCain, who I have respected until now lost all credibility (at least with me) after his performance on Hardball last week (on the Rove issue). IMHO!!

Also, check out ABC This Week with George Stephanopolous. (I don't know if they have transcripts. I am sure they do) You can also go to crooksand liars.com for the video of the segment and you can listen or watch the segment while he evades and covers for the White House and Rove.

Rest assured...Hillbillary is filling in a tunnel, building a bridge, and may even join Jane in driving around the country in her vegetable oil powered bus. Yes, there will be expansion bridges reaching across to the disenfranchised, 18-wheelers carrying cargos of hope, and all sorts of Corpse of Engineer metaphors as Hillbillary drives her way across the nation. We are so fortunate to have the smartest woman in America as a candidate for President.

McCain - on MATTHEWS I think that John McCAIN is being the "good" soldier regarding the Plame leak.
At least he is not being an RNC Parrot and saying that there was no leak or that Plame never actually worked for the CIA, or that she was only a receptionist.

Source: New York Press I wonder if the "FORTUNATE SON" story will come up if Pataki does run. "With supreme guts and righteousness, President Bush went into Iraq," Gov. Pataki told the Republican National Convention last August. The place erupted with applause. It was all very stirring. Almost one year later, Pataki's son Teddy is, with supreme guts and righteousness, seeking a three-year law school deferment from the Marines, which last week commissioned the recent Yale grad as a second lieutenant. The governor, who himself received a medical deferment during the Vietnam War because of poor eyesight, has said he hopes his son is granted the deferment."
