Default Islamists burn churches in Kosovo/Serbia

http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewSpecialRe...20050815a.html

Quote:
International intervention to halt the persecution of Christians in Kosovo is a "complete failure," according to a former diplomat and other political analysts who briefed Capitol Hill staff late last week, pointing to the destruction of 150 churches and the simultaneous construction of 200 mosques.

Cybercast News Service obtained video of the burning and desecrating of the churches by ethnic Albanians, most of them Muslim. See Video

The new mosques are funded by "Wahhabist nations," the diplomats said, raising the specter of radical Islam incubating on the doorstep of Europe in a province rife with illegal arms and narcotics trafficking.

The religious persecution is also part of a political strategy of violence, which if rewarded in the granting of independence to Kosovo, could trigger similar violent secessionist movements throughout neighboring states and countries, they warned.

Unfolding events in Kosovo have already sent shock waves to as far away as China, which has now expressed concern to the U.S. over possible copycat attempts at secession in its predominantly Muslim Xinjiang Province.

Kosovo, an international protectorate administered by the United Nations, is part of Serbia and Montenegro, but the legal authority of the region is the U.N. Interim Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK).

The province is considered one of the jewels of Christian heritage, having served as the "Vatican" of Serbian Christian Orthodoxy from the 12th century onward.

Serbs, who are predominantly Orthodox Christians, constitute a minority, as do Turks, Roma (gypsies) and Muslim Slavs. Eighty-eight percent of Kosovo's population is made up of Muslim Albanians.

The attacks and ongoing persecution are seen by some as the purposeful targeting of the very symbols of Christian European civilization.
anyone who knows you can tell you that I'm not in the least Christian...but I do find it interesting that this story has been largely ignored. Can anyone here say honestly that if christians in kosovo had burned 150 mosques in the past 2 years and replaced them with Christian churches there wouldn't have been a massive outcry about civil rights violations?

Default It's not news because it's not surprising!

Simple as that. Like a crack murder in Detroit where I grew up. Not news. I am not Christian either (as you well know), but I know it would be odd for Christians to destroy so many mosques.

HUH? What the heck are you talking about, Kal? "Christians have a habit of bombing Christian churches?" Proof??????

Isn't it amazing how you ignore Catz's post....which was about Islamics burning Christian churches in Kosovo. You libs ignore the fact that Bill Clinton obviously made things worse there. He feared genocide of the ethnic Albanians he said....but now there are few Serbs living in Kosovo and the ones who do live there live in fear of their lives. So, all he did was to help get rid of the Christian Serbs. He actually cleansed the area of Christians. Way to go Bill!!!!!!

He must be talking about Southerners when they burned Black ( NEGRO) churches in the days before civil rights and integration. Of JP you are going to blame it on Democrats. You may be 1/8 right, most of the Southern Church bombers were either Dixiecrats, wanna-be Republicans, or Southern Democrats.

Default Albanians "invaded" Kosovo a Serb province

I actually very much agree with you on this issue. I have always contended that the Albanians "invaded" Kosovo a Serb province over time and they displaced the Serbs. Monica's Boyfriend decided to wage an illegal war against the Serbs and helped the Albanians take control of Serbian Kosovo. The Albanians started killing the Serbs and conduct ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. Yet no one cares.

Default Protocol for Responding to Church Burnings in Kosovo

(1) Emphasize that you are not a practicing Christian because as we know Christians can't be trusted to comment without bias.

(2) Say "so what" and accuse Christians of burning black folks Churches down in the past.

(3) Compare the burnings to murders in Detroit and say "No big Deal".

(4) Agree that Muslims burning churches is wrong, and curse Clinton, and locate the remote to see what's on Channel 742.

(5) Criticize those who have posted here but don't post a scathing condemnation of the Muslim bastards who burn down Christian churches, and then surf the TV channels until it's is time for dinner.

As the World turns...

Actually, I never said "no big deal". Way to completely miss the point of the post. I was responding to Catz's comment regarding the lack of coverage. It's not being covered because it's so common as to not be news. Got it?
