My Dad told me this morning that armed gangs have been looting the already disadvantaged people that were put in the stadium after the hurricane. What kinds of monsters are these people? Apparently gangs from Mississipi are also crossing the boarder to get a piece of the action.

Theyre sending in the national guard though. And since all the jails are under water, I dont see anyone getting arrested.

Surrender or die. These people do not care about life. No human would even think of doing what these psychotics are doing.

Good luck to the victims. I dont pray, but my thoughts are with them.

"NEW ORLEANS - The evacuation of the Superdome was disrupted Thursday after shots were reported fired at a military helicopter and arson fires broke out outside the arena. No injuries were immediately reported.

An air ambulance service official said earlier that helicopter transfers of the sick and injured were suspended, but the National Guard said Thursday that able-bodied evacuees were still being moved by bus to Houston's Astrodome."

I can't agree with you more neo. The developments in New Orleans concerning looting and now these latest acts of violence are absolutely sickening. And they beg the question, how can we stand united against our enemies when we cannot even get along with and show compassion to each other?

Well, I'm praying for them!

And yes, it's awful that there's always some stupid people to try and take advantage of a terrible situation. They actually broke into stores and stole AK-47's and are roaming around threatening people. There was one tourist couple.....from another country.....who were scared to death. She said since they are tourists and have money, she is scared to death that they will be killed for it. And she didn't know where to go for safety. I wish there was some way I could get to her and her husband. I'd bring them home with me and take care of them. My only question to her would be: "Why in the world didn't you get out during those days of warnings and mandatory evacuations???" They could have rented a car and driven further north.....taken a bus or flight out.....hired a cab....or whatever. But some of these people could have gotten out but chose not to. That's something I'll never understand. But it's also"spilled milk" now. What's done is done....and the main thing is helping the people now; not blaming them.

And now you know why the right to keep and bear arms is such an important one. You never know when the systems set in place to protect you will utterly break down and you will be forced to protect yourself.

They shot at a helicopter. The volunteer medical personnel had to have an armed escort. There are people still trapped who can't be reached. These animals are preventing rescue operations. I don't know what should be done. I tend to believe that anyone seen with a weapon should be given one warning before they are shot.

I'm not one to advocate gun control. I also believe in the right to bare arms, but if it wasn't so easy to get guns in the US, the looters might not have been able to get their hands on any.

And then you would have able-bodied thugs using sticks and rocks to accomplish the same thing they are doing now. The difference being that the 70 year old grandmother would have to use a broomstick to defend her infant grandchildren instead of using the ole deer rifle.

BTW, there are no jails or prisons to incarcerate these animals. Shoot to kill on sight.

And I highly doubt they stole actual AK-47s from an american store. More than likely they stole semi-automatic facsimiles OR they obtained illegal automatic weapons.

In which case, curtailling firearm availability is useless.

And I am not for the 2nd amendment until I allowed to carry a sword.

this situation is no different than in somolia or in fomer eastern blocks, if I was the incharge i would just shoot them, they should be treated like guerrillas and hunted down. Screw the national guard send in the seal to get them
